Should I rewrite my articles for my site?

I've written lots of articles but they've been put as companions to youtube videos and they're up on article websites. I've just now gotten around to having a new website and I want to do some SEO on my page. I think the content has to be different to get registered in google right? So I'm thinking I might have to rewrite all of them to put them on my site so Google won't ignore it thinking it's a duplicate.

I know you can get penalised for duplicate
content so personally I would just rewrite.

Worth it in the long run

There are Warriors on this forum in the "Warriors For Hire" section who will write articles for you from a dollar upwards - don't do it all yourself - it's tedious.

Imagine if some of those warriors would actually write articles for themselves and submitted them to some popular directories daily... They would be making a nice income don't you think?

I'm quite sure that the Warriors doing the writing are also writing their own to spread around the article directories, blogs, forums and elsewhere. They know the value of articles out there in the wild and the effect on ranking.

          You are quite right.

I heard recently of a woman who just wrote articles from when her kids went to school until it was time to pick them up. She is on target to earn six figures this year. All she has, apart from EzineArticles, just a blogger blog.

          It definitely can be done.

          Best wishes,

Seeing as you have the articles and they probably won't rank high in google if posted as they are I would just give them a quick re-write before posting.

It's always worth having your best content on your own website. It should also be unique, but there's nothing wrong with rewriting it and mass submitting it to the various article directories.

I'd start off by re-writing some of the better articles you originally wrote - just to help you get going with traffic to your new website...However, I would definitely take the time to write new articles with fresh content. Quality Content is King and the SEO's will LOVE your website.

It's always a good idea to rewrite articles that have already been published on the internet. It's not that Google will penalize you. They will index your pages, but if it's duplicate content, you'll have a hard time getting listed. The search engines love unique content -- and your readers will also thank you. If you don't have time to rewrite them, just Google "article rewriting services."

It is best to rewrite the articles - unique content is always better than recycled stuff that is already plastered all across the Internet. Your site's visitors will love you as well...

If you think from your reader's point of view, they wouldn't want to go to several of your sites and get the same article/info.

If you're up to it, you could be your own "article spinner" and have 70% unique articles, submit those to all the directories for creating back links and such to your new site.
