Best Digital Product Selling Software Engine

I'm about to make a online store and have decided to go for zencart.
Are there any drawbacks to using this for digital products ?

I would have liked to go for magento but it is still in Beta and there are not many skins as yet.I heard although the backend of Magento is ace, changing layouts is a headache even for techies.

Zencart the way to go ?
Would RAP integrate with it to secure downloads folder or is DLGuard better ?

After months of research and several product purchases that didn't live up to their sales letters, I'm now testing DLGuard - so far it's looking good.

And it is the only one that seems to have all the security angles covered ... none of the others could secure multiple file products (such as videos that are typically quite large and you need to break them up into several smaller files yet they are all just one prooduct).

The relevant thing here for you is that DLGuard also has a shopping cart, a membership site functionality and integrates with major auto responders too. All very important stuff for digital product sales.

By all accounts and also based on my limited experience, they have super responsive, "nothing is too much trouble", support. I wish there were just a few more vendors like that.

Sam, the onwer of DLguard is one of the good guys. He lurks around this forum quote a bit. check some of the other threads and quizz him about your requirements.

Clearpath, as Sami said DLGuard does have it's own shopping cart, which may make your life much easier.
