        Create a bit.ly account and you will be able to get an API key straight away.

        Also: Keep in mind that a lot of people consider auto DM's somewhat tacky, even to the point of spam. Not all, but a good selection of people may concur. In any case, good luck.

          If you do send a DM to all new followers, make sure and rotate them. I know you can do it with SocialOomph and probably many others. Make sure it's not too robotic and obvious or people may unfollow you thinking you're a spammer.
