Am I Missing Something?

Hi, I've been a lurker here for a few months, and I've found this forum to be the best for internet marketing.

I've been trying to get into IM for a month. I have made:

Blogs
Squidoo Lenses
Articles upon Articles
Lists
Backlinks
Helpful Forum Posts with Links to Sites (on non-IM forums)

I've used adwords, and I use social networking sites, and I use ezinearticles and goarticles.

Nothing is happening! I have made 5.85 on Amazon, 9.80 on CJ, and 0 on CB.

My question is this: It's been said time and time again that you can build traffic to your site with blogs and articles, but how do you get the traffic to the blogs and articles? It feels like an infinite regress.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Without knowing how these things are set up, what you're trying to sell,
what your business plan is, and a ton of other variables, there is no way
to answer your question and tell you what the problem is.

There are 2 ways to get traffic, pay for it or generate it manually. If
you don't pay for it (quickest way) then generating it manually is a very
time consuming and long process. You won't get tons of visitors overnight
by using SEO, articles, forum participation and whatever else you're doing
to generate traffic.

Plus, there is the competition in your niche. How many other sites are out
there competing for your hard earned dollars?

Wish I could give you a better answer than that, but given how little info
you've given us here, it's the best I can come up with.

My suggestion, learn as much as you can about paid and free sources of
promotion.
