Here is how you grow your company to a multi billion entity!

Guess what... if you want to grow your business...
it's all about your customers ! (nothing new here!)

I've came across a fantastic document at ...

It's no wonder that they've achieved so much in ONLY 10 years.
(yes, I know 10 years is much in "web time" ... but I've seen other .com's have not
achieved half of Google's achievements within the same period).

10 principles that contribute to a Googley user experience

1. Focus on people – their lives, their work, their dreams.
2. Every millisecond counts.
3. Simplicity is powerful.
4. Engage beginners and attract experts.
5. Dare to innovate.
6. Design for the world.
7. Plan for today's and tomorrow's business.
8. Delight the eye without distracting the mind.
9. Be worthy of people's trust.
10. Add a human touch.
If you have few minutes, then I highly recommend you check the above link
to read the explanation of each item (only few lines under each).

You'll really understand why nearly all of their projects are SO successful.

The Lesson?
OK... may be most of us won't have a multi billion incorporation like Google...
But at your "scale" .... if you follow these principles, you'll surely reach highest customer satisfaction.

Just thought about sharing this lovely "credo"

Actually I was amazed of how simple & powerful their principles are...
and what amazed me even more... is that they are putting it publicly!

Frankly...If i knew these success factors first, I won't be sharing them with anybody

      9. Be worthy of people's trust.

I would say that their changes in Adwords policies (last 2 years or so) and their vague privacy statement are 2 things that made them lose some trust.

But hey, I'm still having thousands of dollars pumped into adwords,
and use their gmail and search engine daily (despite their privacy policy and strange cookies they plant in my browser)

I guess they chose to gain trust of some people... not all of their users.
