What is your IM business model?

Hi warriors,

I just saw two interesting threads in this section

1)Okay Warriors What Are Your 2010 Income Goals?
2)How Much Do You Make Daily?

Both of these threads lead to interesting discussions.I think it would be great if we could discuss about our Internet marketing business model(s).

Please share your business model(s) you are doing now or plan to do in future.

Business models can give strong inspirations than plain figures.

Let me start with mine.I do affiliate marketing now and plan to invest my profit to develop my first ebook. This ebook provides solution to a desperate problem.

Lessons learned so far

1) Giving value and doing ethical marketing are best for long lasting success
2) Solutions to desperate people convert well
3) Story telling pre-selling works well
4) Developing my own product is the ultimate success
5) Never put all your eggs in one basket
6) Testing is the crucial step to all success

I hope this thread can contribute a lot to both newbies and experienced marketers.

Thanks

I think this is a really great thread. Gives us newbies something to think about as we enter into this new year.

    * I agree with giving value and solutions. I want my name to be associated with nothing but quality, regardless if its a product, services, etc.

    * Never put eggs in one basket. I've been working on several passive income techniques as well as active income. They have been working pretty well thus far.

    * Lastly, finish what you start. I find myself creating new sites and then I may get side tracked on the latest "something". In order to really know you will be successful at what you are working on--it helps to finish it to completion so you can make adjustments afterwords. Just give yourself and your technique a chance before cutting it loose.

Can't wait to see additional business models...

Thanks again for this thread Nikhil!

I build micro continuity businesses and attach 1 upsell within my sales funnel to each business to begin with.

I then hire virtual employees and have them follow specific marketing strategies from Russell Brunson's Instant Traffic Systems to begin building that stable flow of long term organic traffic for my business.

I then utilize Ryan Deiss's 'The Automated Selling Machine' system to build my initial list fast and start automating my sales process from the get go.

I then utilize an internal launch utilizing Product Launch Formula + Mass Control 2 to discover what my business metrics are.

I then refine my sales funnel to improve conversions and then I scale my marketing by orchestrating a big JV launch for the same business that I just refined.

At this point, I've improved conversions to a decent rate for all aspects of my business, have made a ton of money from my internal and JV launch, have built a big fat database of customers and waiting for the continuity component to kick in if it already hasn't but this entire blueprint of mine does take a few months so I would of already made a ton of money in continuity for about 2 - 3 months worth and have created stability in terms of consistent revenue on complete autopilot for my micro continuity business.

I then forget about it and move on to my next project. As I move on to building new micro continuity businesses, I cross promote my own products and services to my current lists that I house giving me a kick start for each new business I build, it's a snowball effect.

      • Hello all! Warmest greetings to you all and Happy New Year!!!

Business strategy X means the strategy is a variable and as yet undefined! I am a pianist who recently completed a 3 CD set of music that is cutting edge meditative, relaxing, debussy-like solo piano with a touch of jazz. I have completed a website for it and am seeking ways to market the website which sells my music directly online. I am seeking professionals, JVs, and more to assist me in effectively making more sales from my website by driving targeted traffic who will buy. I am very new and need someone who believes in my product and who can market for me and even find JVs for me as well. If you know any other way to increase sales, market the music effectively, build a big fan base, etc, your help would be greatly valued. I am hoping to hire an effective marketer or have effective affiliates. I believe once anyone hears the music they will believe in it. Please PM me. All thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and modes strategies to achieve the full potential of this remarkably unique and beautiful solo piano project.

        -Hassan

P.S. this music is great for studying, painting (there's a painter I know who has been listening to it every single day for over a month as he paints), meditation, for taking a relaxing bubble bath, for sophisticated classical listeners, for relaxation, for sleeping, for dinner parties, hosting company, after you wake up in the morning, yoga, working online, etc...its really universal in use.

This is EXACTLY how I've started to systemize my business during the last few months, in the following order:

      1) Free front end value offer (squeeze page)
      2) Ryan Deiss' Automated Selling Machine / Perpetual Launch model
      3) I then mimic Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula model
      4) I tweak the sale funnels to maximize conversions
      5) I move to the next project

I still havent managed to implement continuity successfully unfortunately. It still takes up too much of my time to be time worth it.

My business model is to sell products and services that make customers more money than they cost to buy.

    Simple really.

  • Mine is Multi-level Marketing.

Aim is to sell products and recruit distributors into your downline, then help them produce results as you did.

I manage to train them all by recruiting and plugin them into a fully customizable system that teaches them most up-to-date marketing methods, and shows them how to create several affiliate streams whilst they recruit people into their business.

My end goal is to create a huge list, a big down line with many successful Entrepreneurs and a residual income as big as half a million a month - some are doing it marketing offline, so why not online? It's faster.

    Jason.

    First off, Great post Idea!

Secondly, I just recorded a video that outlines the exact business model that I use. (from generating a lead, on). It is a very common business model that I have seen used alot since I have been online. The video is about 13 minutes long, and I recorded is as a Christmas gift to all of my subscribers.

    Here is my basic outline:
    1. generate a lead
    2. create a customer
    3. teach them to buy
    4. make some money
    5. Maximize my profits

Since you kind of need to see me write it out to understand, I'm not going to try to do it with words. The video can be found on my blog with a quick search. (link in sig file)

Like I said, nothing new, just another guys opinion and explination of something that works.

If posting this link is out of line, then it can be removed. I am truly posting it for the benefit of others, and not to promote myself.

Here is a direct link to the blog post:

I've divided internet marketing up into basically four quadrants:

    - Selling your own services
    - Selling your own products
    - Selling affiliate products
    - Driving traffic to CPA offers

I've done the first three, been generally avoiding the fourth, but I'm going to dive in and tackle it this year.

This is my whole business model simplified:

    1) Media buys. (A new area for me.)

    2) Websites pushing CPA products ranked organically.

    3) Authority sites that aren`t monetized but worth a lot.

    4) Products outside MMO niches. (This will take place in the next months.)

    4) Offline investments. (Commodities, currency, and stocks.)
