Default Article Marketers - Do You Really Know Your Niche?

Can you run a successful article marketing campaign without knowing the niche? Possibly, but you will always be one sentence away from ruining your established reputation and putting a screaching halt to any momentum you have built to this point.

Here's my take on it. (If anyone cares LOL)

The very first thing you need to do is gain some knowledge about the niche you have chosen to promote. Hopefully most of you already know enough about the niche to start writing articles right off the bat. But don’t be discouraged if you don’t. It is possible to break into a niche that you know nothing about as long as you are prepared to spend the time to learn it.

If this is the case and you are brand new to the niche, you’re going to have to study what, where, when, why, how and who in relation to the niche. I am not going to tell you how to learn about any specific topics…that’s up to you. Just remember that your article readers will know if you are actually knowledgeable about the topic or if you are just “blowing smoke.”

This may seem like common sense, but you’d be surprised how many people want to start an internet business in a field that they know nothing about. I can’t tell you how many articles…thousands…that I have been reading and just had to stop and start laughing out loud because it was obvious “bull****.” (Sorry)

Whenever I see these articles I think to myself that this person is wasting their time and they will never make a sale…as I am reaching for the decline button.

Please don’t submit articles like that.

So again I'll ask...can you run a campaign without knowing the niche?

Sure you can! If you want to completely destroy your credibility, branding and any other momentum you have gained to this point. Not to mention, you will make yourself look like a complete idiot.

Respectfully,
Allen Graves

I didn't at first, but I sure do now I was struggling at the start. For some reason my stats of my first 4 articles are something I've never been able to achieve again, but I can write on the niche now without thinking about it.

I spent some time at Yahoo Answers to learn the ropes of it too to figure out what people want and what particular advice they're looking for. I'm trying one or two niches where I'm totally new to it, but its a lot harder to find motivation and write new articles for it.

So i really believe you can get into an unknown niche and do well and LEARN it very well if you just put the time in. I don't even need source material anymore for it, I just open up Notepad and start writing

I think a few fonts need to be removed from the postbit.
