Hey. Does anyone here writes articles on a regular basis? If yes, does anyone know if its best to have one pen name with a lot of articles or 2-3 pens names with articles distributed?

Thank you

The best you can do, is to keep a different pen name for each niche you tackle...regardless of the number of articles you're going to post

I agree. I don't think it matters how many articles you have under a particular pen name but I use a different pen name for each niche that I enter.

I use several pen names - they vary according to what I am trying to accomplish. As mentioned above, a different pen name for each niche is recommended.

Okay, here's my 2 cents on pen names.

      1. Don't choose a pen name of anybody famous, living or dead. Article
directories, especially the strict ones, frown on this and may even ban you.

      2. Do not choose pen names with the words Dr. or PhD or anything like
that in them UNLESS you are actually a Dr. or a PhD. This is fraud.

      3. If you are writing for sub niches of a main niche, such as in IM (pay per
click, article marketing, copywriting, etc.) you probably want to keep those
all under one name. It shows you are knowledgeable in those areas of IM. It
      helps build credibility.

      4. If you are writing for totally unrelated niches (dog training, health, gambling,
and so on, choose a different pen name for each. Nobody is going to take
you seriously if they find you're writing about everything under the sun.

I personally write under my real name for 3 specific niches (IM, gambling,
music) because I am quite knowledgeable in each and can therefore pull
it off by talking about personal examples and stories in my life. If you can
do that as well, then you can possibly get away with this as well. But I
wouldn't try it with more than a few niches. Too many, and people will
suspect you're faking it...even if you DO have all that knowledge.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on pen names.

I guess it really depends on what you are writing the articles for, whether for your own product or for someone else's. Either way, I would say to forget the pen names and use your real name.

Build YOUR brand instead of a fake person and then make recommendations to people. This way if you decide to change products or put together your own in the future, you will have already done most of the trust building work ahead of time.

Plus, there is nothing wrong with being an expert in multiple niches. Just make sure you are who you say you are.
