New to the forum and trying to figure out where to start

Hi all,

I've been reading through the forum for the last few weeks trying to figure out where to get started. I've actually been looking at IM for about a year but everytime I try to get started I get overwealmed with information and lose focus.

After reading through the site I see that there are alot of different ways to make money on the internet. My problem is I don't know where to start. Is there a place where everyone starts and gets there feet wet? I'm a very logical thinker and right now I'm in logic overload.

I have lots of time on my hands to learn, and I've set a goal for myself of earning $50 per week through IM'ing, but each time I think I understand how to start I get totally twisted around and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If you get a number of replies to this thread, there's a good chance that you'll get even more confused as each of us will have an opinion.

    Here's mine.

You need to make some definite decisions for yourself. Really DECIDE on a plan of action and stick to it. I don't know what you're trying sell, what your skills are and therefore what would suit you. You should know these things - if not, then do a quick skills audit on yourself. You'll then have a clearer understanding of what will work for you.

If you haven't already, do a search for the term 'newbie' and see the posts that people have made that are designed to assist people in your situation. Yes, there's more information but sifting through this and deciding what to listen to and what not is another skill that you'll have to develop.

    Enjoy yourself

    Peter

Also, find some teleseminars. They're great for live learning.

Hi, why not share with us what your strengths are?

Then, we can move on from there.

Making $50 a week can be easily done.

But before we overload your logic circuit, I would prefer to come from your angle and leverage on your strengths.

      Cheers,
      John

Find a business that's already successful and model what they do. Don't STEAL, but observe what their business model is and adapt it to the product or service you're selling (if it's appropriate, of course). This way, you're not trying to reinvent the wheel.
