Hi all

I am not happy with one of my list building exercise, I have got some videos with FREE giveaway rights, I have had them online for about a month now, but I still have not had any signups at all, this is what makes me give up at times but I keep going on and on

Is there anything that I need to do, or am doing that I should not be doing

Its frustrating when you don't get any sign ups

The link is in my sig... is there anything that I can improve, all I want to do is get straight to the point and give people what they want

You should put one of the videos on your capture page.... So that your traffic can see the quality and want more. Right now, you arent giving enough up fron t to get someone to want to share their email address with you.

Sorry but a landing page like yours will have very poor conversions. The offers were not that appealing and weak call to action..
You need a story to back up your credibility. something that will make ppl want u.

The description of the videos that you are going to give away = way to complicated and confusing. You might want to summarize them in 3-4 sentences. Giving away to much will get ppl to ask if yours were any good.

Try to add the word free in your page or can be downloaded instantly without investing a penny.

For example, "To download these videos for FREE
    Simply enter your details below:

Or go to this link ==> link here and buy it for $$$"

Also, change or remove your header.

You may also tr to change your headline
    "Create an online business
    in less than 7 days
    with these easy to follow
    step-by-step videos"

    Into something like
    "Discover the Easy
    Step By Step Videos
    On How To Build
    Your Own Online Business
in 7 Days or Less. 100% Guaranteed!
Grab it For FREE, Just Today!"

Are your free IM videos about list building or contain list building steps which is essential for IM? If so are you using your testing those? Are they not working? Don't give up though. There are a lot are too many techniques for list building to give up.

I agree with everyone above. I item to add.....curiosity converts. Make your landing page as simple and basic as possible. I would even eliminate any colorful distractions or logos. Split test them, and it will improve or my name isn't bean.

Oh, and don't give up. Through adversity comes success.

With my list building, I use hundreds of domains using the same niche and I use exit popup like the one I am using at rossdalangin.com. What I want to say is..try different types of list building effort and strategies.

The more domains and pages I have the more chances I can get a traffic. Every visitor counts if interested to the freebie when they want to leave the page ..good luck!

I'm not an expert but maybe you could try putting the product images in a horizontal row above the opt in box.

My first instict was to scroll down past the opt in and then not look back at it again.

Put opt in box top right above the fold. You want to try to stay away from having a capture page that you have to scroll down to see the goods. Like Bean said you need to split test split test and more split test like the colors you use, different header, graphics and copy. If you don't split test you won't know how to make the capture page convert to the max.

    1) Your Opt-In form is below the fold.

    2) You're lead magnet is crap.

    3) Offering way too much free information to the point where people get the idea that the information is crap hence why there is so much of it being offered on the front end for free.

    4) What kind of traffic are you driving through that squeeze page?

    5) You need a better headline.

    6) You need bullet points to follow stating the benefits and/or features to create more curiosity.

    7) You don't have a clear CALL TO ACTION

    8) Your Opt-In form needs to be clearly visible, the arrows pointing to the form alone isn't enough, try changing the background color of the table.

    9) People aren't stupid, they know crap quality PLR when they see it.

    10) You need to work on creating a HOT lead magnet because your current lead magnet doesn't seem to convert at all based on your results you've stated.

I think the headline needs to be more specifc (ie. online business could be anything) and I think people might even stop scrolling when they see your opt-in box without realising there is more below.

So when they get to the opt-in box they're like 'What's the product, what's it all about?" That was my first thought until I realised I come keep scolling down.

Then I would say... at a glance it's very difficult to see what each free product is going to do for me.

I would agree with BeanCounter and say create more curiosity and play around with some formatting (sub-headlines and bullets). My squeeze page is very very basic and coverts at 46%.

Use Google Websiteoptimizer to play around with some variations.

Goodluck for doing something and keep going!! It can be improved and will start to convert.

The one major reason why you have no sign ups is probably because you don't have any traffic.

Give your visitors a little teaser of whats on offer(ie the best video) then have your optin box right next to it. With a headline(Get X amount of bussiness boosting tutorial videos FREE) and get rid of the banner at the top.

Below all that a brief description of what they get when they sign up, then drive traffic.

      Good luck

Well I've got a few suggestions for you...

    1. I'd say embed the video directly onto you squeeze page. Having people click the picture then go to another page to watch the video kind of shoots yourself in the foot since after they are done watching the video the opt-in box isn't on that page anymore.

    2. Try to embed your opt-in form code in html as opposed to javascript. A lot of people by default block javascript with firefox plugins such as "no script". With javascript blocked the opt-in box isn't even seen

    3. I think you should look into changing up the fonts a little bit as well as the colors. The red you're using is a little to bright IMO try using something like #BC0202

    4. Try to change the layout a bit where the headline is all along the top, the video is on the left side and the optin form on the right. Then using a smaller font add your "no sell" disclaimer below the optin form.

    Hope this helps!

Only a couple of people mentioning traffic, I expected more. The type of traffic that your getting could be very important. If its not targeted then that could be the problem.

I've looked at your page, and you're totally missing the point of a squeezepage.

You've asking people to click the sample video, and it opens up in a new window!

Squeeze rule 101 don't give people any option other than entering their e-mail. If you want to create cuorisity then have a pop-up that tells people they can only watch the video if they opt-in. Also the lead magnet is pretty poor, most people who are serious about IM and have money to spend don't need to know how to register a domain.

This video from Ryan Deiss should help you understand more about how to create a quality lead magnet.

I tried looking, but it didn't come up with anything on the page (Firefox) Possibly just me.

Which gave me an idea. It could be productive of you to (if your host allows it) create a custom URL for 404 pages, so that even if the customer gets the URL slightly wrong, he would still end up on your squeeze page.
