What key phrases are you trying to rank for? How much competition is there for those phrases? What have you done exactly? Pretty high-competition niche...

No Google doesn't hate you, you're just not giving it enough of a reason to like you yet. Despite having your page up for 1 year, you have around 100 backlinks to your website, none of which are above a PR1. You need to spend the time and effort in building quality backlinks. If you look at the sites ranking for that keyword phrase, they've all got thousands, because they're all doing exactly what you are, selling products.

Your keyword is very competitive, it's not impossible to break into that first page, but it will take work. You have a great looking website, you've put a lot of work into developing it, put in the work on the back end and you'll see great results.

Been more like 3 years off and on... I've built links with some high PR websites and blog but unfortunately none were in my niche... It's increasingly difficult to find sites within my niche to link to me especially without a reciprocal link... losing hope fast and thinking of selling this site

Here's a few things you can look into...

First, get rid of all the IE6 alert text at the bottom of your code. It's probably confusing the Google bots as to what your home page is about.

The second is you have your site as a DTD XHTML page and the W3C validator says you have 23 errors and five warnings and those aren't getting you any Google love in that competitive niche.

I know you think Google has verified your site (<meta name="google-site-verification"), but it wouldn't hurt you to clean your code.

Do some more backlinking as suggested, clean your code, and keep an eye on your rankings.

            Other than that...

Don't worry about finding sites that are related to yours. You can get great results from links coming from totally unrelated pages.

    You need mo' better links.

You've got some decent links but you need more, both in terms of quantity and quality, to make headway in this highly competitive niche. Your competitors would encourage you to futz around with on-page SEO factors rather than getting links though.

off hand I'd say they hate you. I believe they hate 98.7% of their paying customers. What chance does someone trying to rank stand being liked??

In looking at the links to the page in the #1 position, it looks like he doesn't have a lot of links from related sites either.

Maybe you should try to put some links on the same sites he has links on - it looks like you could easily do that on the few I looked at anyway.

Just got off the phone will Bill. He confirmed that yes, Google hates you. He said, "We only truly hate a few, but that guy's one of them."

You are on the fist page with "secrets in seduction". "How to seduce woman" seems to have a lot of competition. I think just keep building links and in time you will get better results. I noticed that some of the sites that are on a top with this keyword you probably can leave your link it heyr site in one way or an other, so that might help.
Anyway, my wife just caught me red handed, Googleing how to seduce women.

    Hi Ashton,

These tips might work, they are from a WF member (Irmscher) and have received positive feedback, although I haven't tried them myself yet. You will be required to optin to get the ebook but that's not a problem.

    anyone think of a solution?

    thanks
I went and looked at your site and I think it's a great site.

However, on preliminary keyword research "how to seduce women" with quotes returns over 7 million results.

    That's way tough!

On the other hand, your domain name, which I think is killer, "secrets in seduction" only returns 22,000.

Maybe you should try to use a hybrid long tail key word to rank for.

Your domain name is key, so it should be a part of your longtail keyword

For example, "Secrets in Seduction on How To Seduce Women" has no one ranking for it(with quotes) yet some of the same results for both keywords separate are on the first page.

I'll give you a funny story of sorts.

I rank #2 with a domain name that I don't even use. It is a blank wordpress site with nothing on it whatsoever.

The exact keyword in quotes yields 12 million results, and I am number 2 in google with a 0 content site.

    Why?

Google doesn't "love" wordpress, it is just that wordpress structures the site, with the help of plug-ins , more attractive to search engines. Within a week I was #2 out of 12,000,000.

    • The Domain Name is the Keyword(.net)
    • The Title Is The Keyword
    • The Tagline Is The Keyword
    • The Post Tags and Categories are the Keyword

But there is no real content -- it's basically parked

That's why I am saying to incorporate your domain name into a long tail keyword -- it will do wonders -- you'll be surprised -- with or without wordpress.

I would also try a linkwheel on your longtail keyword.

Write an article called "The Secrets in Seduction on How To Seduce Women" -- something like that -- make sure your two keywords are in
    there.

    Write 2-3 more articles

Spread them out to(in no particular order):

    1. Hubpages
    2. Squidoo
    3. Wetpaint
    4. Scribd
    5. DocStoc
    6. EzineArticles
    7. ArticlesBase
    8. Buzzle
    9. Blogspot
    10. Weebly
    11. Yolasite
    12. Blog.com

Have all of these properties point to secretsinseduction.com, with your longtail keyword as anchor text.

Use those three articles, but use only 1 for eZine, because their sticklers.

Don't worry about duplicate content -- it only holds for same site, not inter-site links and rankings.

RSS feeds would be useless if there was this type of duplicate content penalty.

It may take a week or two -- maybe a month, but you'll start seeing yourself climb.

As far as bookmarking, i only use Clipmarks, Propeller, Google Bookmarks(extremely helpful), Twine, and Jumptags.

Submit RSS to millionsrss, feedagg, 5z5.com, and feedage

All of that will impress google, boosting your site as an authority for that keyword phrase.

It takes a little work, but you'll see yourself climb

    Give that a shot . . .

Thanks for all the above advice.

      2 quick comments/questions.

      1) Can someone please verify for me if it matters if the backlinks i get to my page are unrelated to my niche? (for example would it matter if a kitchen appliances website ranked to my site being in the seduction niche)

      and

      2) the problem with using a long tailed keyword such as "secrets in seduction on how to seduce women" is that no one is searching for such a long key phrase in google... or am i missing something?

I don't see a benefit to ranking for a non-competitive keyword if no-one searches for it.

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

While it helps to have links from authority sites within your niche, you can get your links from anywhere, including your authority links.

For example, one credit related site I know of, that ranks #1 for a very competitive keyword, has serious PR/authority links from about pages on a number of unrelated sites. These are probably purchased links but it would be hard to prove.

You need to understand the longtail effect.

For example, on one of my hobby related niche sites about 10% of the search traffic is for the 3 primary keywords while the remaining 90% are from related long tail terms. Individually, they account for about .28% of the traffic but as a group they account for just over 90%
