This section is for making Warrior members a Special Offer. A Special Offer means making Warriors a deal like no others get. Usually that comes in the form of a much lower price. No junk offers will be approved here.

More than a thousand extra viewers on the WSO thread as of this posting. Amazing.

so? what are you implying by this? Allen lowered the entry barriers for WSO..I think its better for the internet marketing community as a whole if more marketers are offering their products at a cheaper rate.

I've found some great stuff here for $7 or so..that to me IS a "special offer"

Dude, chill. The title of my post spoke to the fact that there are quite a few new members with WSOs. I agree that the WSO forum is a great marketplace with many good deals, but the fact that it is a marketplace, and a successful one, means that there are going to be savvy marketers availing themselves of the opportunity. This has caused some concerns among some of the more senior members of this community, many of them with good reason.

You can't blame them. Many of the gurus themselves launched ebooks towards the newbies, telling them how to make money through WSOs. It's become a haven for many. Although there are still some excellent WSOs out there. I'm sure it's big enough for everybody just like eBay.

That thought occurred to me, as well. I know I've spent the last few days setting goals and putting them into action.

The WSO section is one of the best resources on the web, at least to me.

I've never bought a WSO that hasn't helped me or given me new ideas in some way.

It's like that at the moment because someone released a WSO this morning and mailed their list with the link

The WSO forum is open to all, you don't have to be registered on WarriorForum to be able to see it. I think that's great, since the WSOs do convert a lot of guests to members. Also, it enlarges the traffic pool for sellers. I have *no* objections to people sending out WSO links to their links, either their own or other people's.

I bet you would be rather surprised at how many of those in the WSO section got there through a direct link in someone's sig rather than navigating over to the WSO section to browse.

There are also probably a good number of sellers counted in that number. You know, keeping tabs on their listing.

Last I knew mailing your own list was ok. That's not really the public at large. Especially when you're sending them back to WF to the WSO thread rather than a page on your own site.

If I were running a WSO (I don't) I would send it to my customer list for the follow reason:

We want to treat our customer lists like gold.

If I sent an offer to my customer list for a product priced at $47 but sold it as a WSO for $27, I wouldn't feel right about it. I would feel like I wasn't being completely honest with my paying customers, the people who have invested their time and money into my products.

    And vice versa.

Now selling the product on clickbank and to my freebie seeker list for $47, while both my customer list and Warriors get the same 50% discount, I could live with that.

It would be singularly stupid if you have a list not to promote your WSO to it. Do you want someone on your list to pay $47 for something you're selling to "strangers" for half that in a WSO? Talk about ill will and ruining a list in a hurry.

Don't they have to come to the WSO board to see the offer?

And don't you think a lot of folks' lists are made up of Warriors who purchased WSOs from them in the past?

For official clarification of the rule, contact the help desk. But the way I interpret this is that you shouldn't have a page up on your own domain or anywhere other than the WSO section that sells it for the same or less. As long as everyone has to come to WF first to be exposed to the offer, why would Allen care where they came from?

What part of this don't you get? They have to come HERE to get the WSO price. The offer is on this web property. That's all the rule is meant to cover. You can't offer the same discount on another site... only here. How the people get here is totally irrelevant. Chill out and accept that you simply interpreted it wrong.

This has already been clarified by the forum. You can email your list about
A WSO that you have running.

The general public refers to people who bump into your product sales page
off the streets. That price MUST be higher than the price you offer to
        this forum.

Yeah I would email the link to a list to. Just think the inflated views/posts would definitely make the user who are browsing the WSO section curious what all the hype is about.

Also could be people coming back from the holidays and checking up on things, I mean it is the first work week of the year and most typical time people return to work, who knows

It's a good thing for everyone selling WSO's and the forum in general to have people emailing their lists about their WSO's, by the way. It brings in more buyers and potential forum members. I'd go so far as to say it should be encouraged, not merely accepted.

my understanding is it's okay to mail your lists about your wso and it's also OK to announce your WSO on twitter or let's say facebook or even to direct paid traffic to it because it all goes though the forum.

After many WSO's end up indexed in the search engine

Correct, Tom. It's also OK for other marketers to email *your* WSO to their list.

Related question -- since a FREE WSO cannot be cheaper than something offered to the general public, are FREE WSOs not allowed according to the rules?

If it's a free WSO then the price offered to the general public must be for
at least 1 cent. It must sell for something, otherwise it does not qualify as
a WSO...going by strict interpretation of the rules.

Or...the WSO must contain something that the public offering does not,
thus making it a better offer.

Bottom line is this. The WSO MUST in some way be better than the offer
the general public gets, whether it's in price or content.

I'll just add my voodoo incantation to bless the PDF bits. That'll make the WSO better.

I almost never look in there. Only if someone raves about a specific product, then I search for that WSO thread. Way too much stuff in there of varying quality but all with the same amount of hype.

I know this is a joke, but it doesn't really make sense. Why can't a free WSO be cheaper than something offered to the general public? If it's a free WSO, but $1.00 to the general public, that means the WSO IS cheaper.
