How does you mundane work day look like?

Ok I haven't been here in ages, it's good to be back ... By the way, a Happy Newyear to all.

Anyway, to get to the point, what bothers me about internet marketing is that it is so time consuming and heck I just say it...it stresses the heck out of me sometimes...

Still it's better than being stuck in a dead end job

I sometimes find myself working for HOURS a day... I've turned into an computer geek

I don't do outsourcing because I can't afford it now...so it's up to me
I have to do writing, driving traffic, bookmarking has to be done manually because I don't have automated submission tools...

So my question is... how do you guys handle the workload and still HAVE A LIFE?:p
What do you focus on during the day, do you do a lot of writing? Do you focus mostly on driving traffic and what works great for you?

I read a lot, too much I think. You know, you can find outsourcing here on WF for like $75 per week through a few of the WSO's

It really depends on the task I need to have done. My work is mainly management.

Anything such as link building or article writing will be outsourced while any split-testing , tracking or researching will be done by myself.

I basically find how I can drive traffic to a particular offer and pay someone else to do it for me.

( Of course , I dont give him or her too many details or he might run off with my method )

Katya, I did a lot of mundane work before I started doing well. I think often people who FAIL to do the mundane work often don't make it very far. What I did find after a while was that certain tasks I was doing were not very productive, so I cut some of them out as I discovered what worked best. You are probably doing the right thing, so stay inspired and get fired up in 2010!

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I work on the other side of internet marketing providing product support for various marketers.

A percentage of that work is quite repetitive but there are also quite a good variety of different questions to get the old grey matter pulsating :-)

I've just recently gone freelance doing this from my newly set up home office and I have to say I'm loving it.

I don't miss the 2 hour daily commute into work, or the strict timekeeping structure that was required of me in my previous job.

This work provides me with my main source of income but I also have websites in IM niches and I find the traffic driving side of things REALLY tedious so I have to admit I've let this slide now.

Happy New Year to you also by the way :-)

    mine looks like this:

up at 6 am. write articles from 6:30 -8:30 on a good day I can type about 7. After breakfast continue writing and then begin submitting content with senuke.

    Lunch.

After lunch work some more on senuke and then workout. After that it varies depending on the day. My schedule on the evening on weekdays is all over the place.

Like katyasenina, I can't outsource anything yet. I am teaching my wife to submit stuff using either senuke or article bot

So much to do, so little time.

Today particularly I am very thankful that I work from home.

Here in the UK half the country has been immobilised due to heavy snow :-)

I start the week by scheduling the time I'm going to spend with my family, and the family appointments. Everything else gets scheduled around that. It sometimes makes for working some strange hours, but isn't that part of the reason we do this?

Now, to your statement about doing everything manually. Are you INSANE!! I understand the need to do your own writing, and some critical items. But you really need to invest in some automation tools. (Ssshhhhh...Don't tell anyone I'm really preaching to myself.)

I just shared a couple emails with Big Mike at Incansoft, and will be buying the ArticleBot software to start automating some of my article submission processes. I'm also looking at several other packages he has. I do not have enough physical time to accomplish what I want to do this year. The products are cheap, and if you do a little searching here on the forum, you'll discover they are extremely effective.

It might only get you back a few hours per week, but....Just imagine what you can do with those hours.

No problem...even if i would not be in IM i would spend hours and hours in front of the computer. The fact that my wife does the same doesnt really help either

But the point is that i don't see it as "work" in the negative sense since i enjoy whatever i do, be it writing new software, hunting for keywords or making sites. The really "bad" work like article writing, submissions, backlinks etc. i have outsourced.

Main work is answering emails/support, keyword and niche hunting, building sites, paying my "employees", site maintenance, the occasionally article added to this or that site. Telling people i need more links or articles, give them new site URLs and keywords, try this or that new software...spend hours on forums
