I'm wondering what script / software is good for running content delivery membership sites?

I want to offer PLR content as well as allow people to make orders for original content as well.

    You can have your custom made scripts. I know a lot of warriors are offering script creation, you can try warriors for hire section.

    I'd have to say the biggest differentiating factors will be these:

    1a. Do you want to send your materials as attachments to emails?

    1b. Or do you want members to have to login to a site to get them?

    2a1. If they login, do you want to segment the material by period, eg., weekly or monthly?

    2a2. Or do you want them to be able to access the entire library of materials?

    2b1. And also if they login, do you want them to have individual logins?

    2b2. Or a single login on the directory that everybody uses (and you change it periodically)?

    3. Finally, is it a fixed-term membership (FTM) or indefinite term?

    Answer these questions and you'll have a much easier time selecting a script or method to use.

    Have you considered Nanacast? It allows you to easily create and manage membership sites, has a built in affiliate manager, integrates with Aweber and Paypal and has a whole host of other really cool features. There is a monthly fee to use it but you definitely get value for money :-)

    You should also take a look at Drupal - people run some pretty big sites using it. It takes a bit of work to setup, but it's very powerful. You can even get people to login using their facebook login.
