Slogan vs Standard Name

Do you find that having your own slogan helps your brand more or less?

I find creating a slogan helps to create logos and themes based around your niche and slogan far easier and makes creativity a little easier, because it makes clear what you're after.

For example, I was told that sometimes I should say "No" to helping others and take the work load off... so instead I rhymed it with my Name and used my Nick name, Never Says "No" Jay. I'm now in the process of ordering a website based around that slogan, which I'll heavily market and try to create mass traffic for then monetize it.

Or take Daegan smith who adopted he idea of never having to call a lead using his own methods, who is now called the king of never calling a lead.

So from this he can create a fun site.

I just think that it creates more popularity and increases the chances of your sites passing through word of mouth or virally, that is of course you create a good slogan... I reckon it gives you some form of status, someone to look up to

So what do you guys think?
