Internet Marketers...How Do You Sustain A Strong Relationship With Your Subscribers?

I would like to know how an internet marketer can build and sustain a strong relationship with those that subscribe to his newsletters, etc.

I think it is easier to get a subscriber than to sustain the subscriber.

So, what do you suggest?

    Hi,

here is a way that I learned from Jeff Dedrick. when your subscriber hits your list send them a free gift right after they opt in. this will do 2 things one cause expectation within them and 2 train them to open your mail. don't lie to them. don't promote every offer be selective and your subscribers will be loyal as long as you give them reason to be

I like to give really informative information. I have recently been writing really detailed blog posts instead of those 200 word emails everyone sends out.

I also send an occasional custom made freebie that is also valuable.

I think that is the key. Ultra value for free.

I give them stuff they can use, that I think will be of true value to them.

Once they realise they're getting more free stuff than pitches or paid for products, they tend to purchase very quickly, because if the free stuff is awesome quality, then the products they pay for must be top notch. At least, I hope that's what they think.

My conversions went way up when I stopped trying to act like a professional and started talking to people like people, and my retention rate on subscribers is way better now too.

Of course I try to deliver lots of value as well, but a lot of it is just people wanting to be entertained.

I lead a ridiculous life and talk to my subscribers about that.

In the crowd control video I saw Frank Kern was talking about falling into a pile of gold dust while being chased by supermodels and looking like a shimmering deity . . . etc. and how people instinctively go into first person imaginative mode when you tell them stories (especially vivid stories I guess).

I work in about 5 different niches mainly which are semi-related and I just send people lots of stuff other people would charge money for, and tell them lots of interesting and true stories, but try to spin a good yarn.

I know for sure that if I withheld more content I'd make more money and that I'm training them to expect freebies, but . . . I get enough business that I would rather have 10 hardcore fans than 100 people who will never look at my stuff again.
