Default Editing AVI files

I am thinking of using CamStudio to create some screen recordings, but I don't see a way to edit the output ... things like removing a series of frames from the middle.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a solution to my problem?

Thanks

I'm not sure if CamStudio works the same as Camtasia, but in Camtasia I import my AVIs, plunk them on the timeline, select the area I want removed, and hit the scissors icon.

However, can't produce as an AVI in Camtasia, as it bloats to about 10-15x size, so I produce as MOV.

I'm starting to create videos, but I'm on a Mac using iMovie. In iMovie, you can remove frames easily, as you can in Camtasia.

Have you tried Jing - Jing Project: Visual conversation starts here. Mac or Windows. it's free and is made by Techsmith which makes Camtasia. I haven't used it, but as it's a freebie it may not allow editing.

If you can't remove frames, you may need to bite the bullet and re-record.

Just use a video editor.

Windows Movie Maker for free or Sony Vegas Movie Studio for about $80 (best option).
