World's ____ question??

Does anyone know about the legality of calling a product the World's ( fill in the blank). Be it the World's Greatest Book of XYZ... or anything with the self appointed "World's" whatever title?

Besides being pretentious....does self-appointing something the "World's whatever" violate any FTC or other rules?

I have a guide that I've written, that is soooooooooooooooo easy to read, that I am looking to call it the World's Easiest XXXXXX Book. Not that the task it talks about is easy, but the way the book itself is written is so simple to read.

    There's a little trick for using that phrase. Just put it in quotes ;-)

    There's a big difference between:

    The World's Best XYZ

    "The World's Best XYZ..."

    The latter implies an opinion from someone and cannot be taken as fact.

    I can't remember where I saw it being used.

    Don't really know about book titles, but maybe you should ask a editor for a professional opinion.

      So if I don't go with at "World's Greatest" title...does anyone have some suggestions?

      XYZ made Fun

      XZY explained easy

      Other ideas??

      The concept of the book again is that it's a simple to read approach to the topic. The topic is still as complex as it always is, but the book itself is easy to read, and grasp the concepts.
