A great way to check on buzz

Addictomatic: Inhale the Web

I ran my name through there and came up with newspaper articles I wrote ages ago, comments on other people's blogs, comments people left on my blog...

But you can use it to check up on the buzz on anything. It's amazing. And alarmingly habit forming.

Very cool site. I could see how it could become habit forming. I've got to be careful. I already have enough habits.

    Thanks for sharing.

Heh heh. I try to do my part, Karl.

It's intriguing to see where one's name shows up - in places that you never expected it to. It's also already given me a lot of ideas on how to get my name and brand out there - by showing where my name, and other people's names, shows up when I search, I can see what works. Commenting on other people's blogs is POWERFUL!

Hey that's fun it's like Googling yourself on different search engines if you type your name in!

The only downside is if you have a very common name - although for branding purposes, if your name is John Smith or Jane Doe, I suspect that the best thing to do is use a different name if you are trying to establish an identity online.
