Will offline help online? Your opinion

What do you think?

I have a video tutorial website. I have had many media appearances on radio and television.

Do you think that a published book will help my credibility (eventhough I believe I already have some) that much more?

Or, should I take the content that I was going to put into a published book and give away a free ebook and/or add more content to my site?

Your opinion is much appreciated.

You could always write the book and put it out, that would get you a new offline market of buyers , then write more on your site and get those offliners online to buy a membership to your site?

put it in a book.. you will make money selling the book.. then it costs a lot to publish it... putting it on your website.. then how are you going to make money though? selling ads? selling membership? it does cost much less to publish online.

You could sell your book on amazon. Create Space would help you get your book put together and published at a very low cost. Once you make some $$$ from it you could explore a wider scale of distribution.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to have a published book!

Why not do all 3, After all your visitors learn from different media's. Giving away a free valuable ebook will help build your creditably and reciprocity. I know it's more work, but work will always pay off.

Ewen Chia and other IMers have done this. It can't help to have offline and online traffic. Do all of it. It's all about what you have time for, what works, what you can outsource. There are just so many hours in a day. Once you have done all of them, see which ones made you money and dump the rest.

Having a published book will build credibility. Dan Kennedy has written several he could have sold as IM packages for a thousand, you can by for $13 at Amazon; just for that very reason.

if you can't do all your option try to analyze which option will has more benefits over the others. Then take a risk if possible try to add other option for testing purposes.

Thanks everyone. I guess it's a matter of how much time I have. Perhaps it is a matter of trial and error.

I'm sure most of you can relate to the fact that it's all about choosing what to do with your time. Since I am selling my 'name' and expertise, I think a published book might be a better credibility builder than if I decided to sell it as an ebook.

    Thanks for the input.
