You use Photoshop Elements? I'll pay you.

Hey Guys

Ok, small issue (yet a big issue)

I have photoshop elements 5.0. (NO idea how to use it!)

I imported a graphic (header) into Elements so i could edit it. I wanna change the headline with
different text and change the graphic.

Ummm, i have no idea how to do it!

As embarrassing as it is for me to admit this let alone post about it in the frikkin Warrior
forum of all places, i just have to ask.

I have made like a one minute video using camtasia so you can see what im on about, its here...

http://www.easyonlinedemo/adobehelpvideo.html

As a token of my appreciation, the first person to who can show me how to do this I'll paypal you $5USD. Not much i know, but i KNOW theres SOMEONE out there who could probably do this with their eyes closedand would take them literally only 30 seconds. Seriously! So $5 for 30seconds aint bad right?

But if your a technical dummy like I am, even changing text is hard, lol.

Appreciate your time guys, all the best!

Rev

The video doesn't work. Anyway, I don't have Elements so I don't know if this particular feature is available on your version. But based on what you described, I think you can use the feature called the Clone Stamp Tool. It's going to be tough to explain in detail though. But you select that, and hold 'Alt' and click any part of your graphic and then you can begin erasing the text on the graphic. Then you select the text tool which is a big 'T' and type on the graphic whatever title you like.
I think in this case, you'd have to use the Clone Stamp tool to edit a non-editable graphic.

Can you shoot the actual graphic over to me so I can get a better look at it? I use Photoshop Elements 8.

You cant do what you are trying to do unless its a psd file with seperate layers. Send me your header graphic and your text you want and I will see what I can do........

It also looks like the whole graphic is locked. So you cant edit it that way. If you double click on the layer in the layer pallete you have opened it will prompt you to unlock the layer.

            Correct.

I'm surprised you've been sent ONLY a jpeg though, without the PSD file (which should be editable). Seeing as though the file looks like it is meant to be edited.

However, it can be done with a few photomanipulation techniques. It's a 10 min job. If you're online now, before I start my paid client work for the day - send the file to me (or upload it to your server) and provide me the link. And I'll recreate it for you, without the man on the right, and without the text)

I'll then send it back to you as a PSD file and BLANK Jpeg image.

If you want to do it yourself...

You can drag/copy the grey background at the top - all the way across the top of the hader so that it covers to top section of the man.

You will need to use the clone stamp tool (unless you're REALLY good with shapes) to paint over the text, and the remainder of the photo of the man.

            Hope this helps.

PM me if you want me to do it.

            Kindest regards,
            Karl.
