Cool Free Tool For Vision Impaired

Ok, I'm not exactly blind as a bat....but I had a similar problem: I went from a 17" laptop screen to a 27 LCD TV.

Problem is.....I couldn't read much on the screen because the fonts and text got real tiny. And the built in MS 'disabled access' tools are neigh on useless.

So, I did some searching, and found this 'magnifying glass' that works great for what I needed. Hopefully, it will for you too;

Enjoy!

    Do you think people should offer a large print version of their ebooks?

    Any ideas of how many IMers are in a similar situation to yourself?

    I ask, because in my day job I transcribe things into large print and Braille. I've also become a bit of an expert in making PDFs accessible i.e. tagging to make sure screen readers and other assistive technologies can use them.

    A lot of people don't realise that older Palms etc need PDFs to be tagged in order for them to be converted for use!

      I should point out to others that when and standard size documents are read by read by common magnification software, they have to scroll from left to right as well as up & down.

      We all hate scrolling don't we!

        I'm sure somebody will point out that Acrobat auto-tags when it can't find any tagging. This can cause them to be converted in very strange ways, even pages can be read in the wrong order
