Our sig file links are gone!

Hi Warriors,

Our sig file links are fine when we're logged in, but I find them gone and replaced with this message when we're not logged in:

To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

What's the cause?

Thanks,
Michael

Perhaps the forum is set up so that only logged in members can see them. Many forums do this to encourage people to actually sign up as members.

    Should be ok now...

Although that might not be such a bad idea :-)

I installed something that stopped people with less than XX amount of posts from posting and replying in the WSO forum. It seems to be attractive to all the drive by spammers.

The permissions that were set also whacked your sig files for people who were not logged in. I changed the permissions.

      Actually,
That's a great idea. Quite a few forums I know use it.
It's a great way to keep out spammers and scammers.

Anything that encourages people to register and participate
has to be good for the forum. As long as they make meaningful
contributions and not flood the forum with non-sequitors.

      Hi Allen,

Is there anyway for you to fix it so that we have to be logged in to even see the WSO forum.

There have been several instance of fraud lately by people buying WSOs with hacked PayPal accounts.

Maybe it would be easier to trace this activity if someone had to be logged in to click the buy now button in the WSO.

For instance the trail from the WSO to the PayPal account of the now Famous KP could be traced. It might scare the scammer away.
