Hi - I have a wordpress blog at www.underactivethyroids.com which I'm not sure whether to sell or continue to persevere with it. I started the site because my wife has an underactive thyroid with a 5 day eCourse. I now have 145 subscribers (mainly via a small PPC budget and also from ezines, etc) but have made only 4 affiliate sales, totalling about $65...which I know is a start. I heard from an "internet guru" recently that anyone should be making some "reasonable" returns if they have a list of 100+ subscribers but I think that I have "lost my way" / focus a little. I have a few articles spread around the 'net on ezines and plan to add 2 more per week. I'd appreciate your honest appraisal and feedback (good and bad) please, as well as a suggested action plan, to help me take this site to the next level. I'd be happy to consider paying someone for ongoing constructive support/mentoring. Thanks. Mark |

I don't think its a bad return. I recommend you consider outsourcing for traffic. I know of places where you can get articles written for you for peanuts and Link building aswell. YOu site looks great, all you need is quality traffic.Try outsourcing.

This is a great start. You made money. You have effectively marketed products to your list. All you have to do now is tweak it and expand. Keep building your list, keep nurturing it, and send it a good balance of content and offers. Even though $65 doesn't seem like much, it's a lot more then 0, which is what most people are making online. You've planted the seed, now baby it, and grow it into a forest... Wes |

That's cool. Now you know you can make a $0.45 per subscriber and that's a good number to know. At this stage it's more important than the number of dollars in the bank. If you had 1,450 similar subscribers you'd have made $650. If you had 1,450 similar subscribers and also increased your subscriber value by 10% (ish) to $0.50 you'd have made $725. And so the process goes on. It's about 2 things: - getting more subscribers - increasing subscriber value It's an ongoing process to improve both. It's a numbers game and it's called Internet Marketing ![]() Good luck with it. Cheers, Neil |
