"How to" set up a squeeze page on word press

Hi people

Wondering if there is anyone out there who is having a few hassles trying to learn the 'how to' process of setting up a squeeze page, landing page, or opt in form on your wordpress blog site.

I've kind of managed a pop up on one of my sites, but it looks a bit amateurish, and I'd prefer it to look professional. I'd also like to be able to offer a free download for people that do decide to opt in, so anyone that is able to help, or provide a step by step process here I know would help me immensely, and probably many other new IM people as well

have you tried searching on google: "squeeze page template"?.. more advanced technique uses voice and video nowadays

Google the term WordPress Squeeze page plugin. There are a couple of very good premium plugins that handle squeeze pages and sales letters. One of them even handles creating mini-sites with WP.

Also keep in mind that WP lets you use a different custom template wherever you want to. So you could have your default template handle everything but your home page, or wherever you want to locate your squeeze page.

If you're thinking along those lines, Google WordPress squeeze page templates.

FWIW, I always throw in the word 'free' when I'm searching for WP stuff. More often than not you'll find something that fits the bill but doesn't require shelling out any of your bills.
