Hi guys,

Just a quick question. I never sold a website before and I'm very curious to know how much I can ask for the following website.

I registered the domain on the 5th of December 2009. I created an affiliate website that sells an high converting ebook (+300 grav clickbank product).

I've been back-linking allot and it reached a number one position on a keyword that brings 25 - 55 visitors to the site everyday. Since the the site is fully operational there were 1.292 visitor. 96,36% new visitors according to analytics.

Since the start I've sold 19 books and had to refund 2, with Christmas and new years it wasn't selling anything which is pretty normal I guess.

Can anybody give me an indication of what it's worth so far? If you need more info please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your time and answers.

Cheers,
Richard

Richard, I would need the URL, full break down of revenue/expenses/profit, detailed traffic statistics, and I will give you a free appraisal. PM me.

Can you give more information please?

Running costs? (How much time is there on the hosting or how much would it cost each month)

    Value of Sales? (profit?)

    Pagerank?

I would actually wait a few months until you sell it, you have what people call a turnkey site...one built fast and just starting therefore you have no real history for people to make a judgement to future profits.

Once you get more consistant profits over time you will be able to demand a higher price than $50 which is usually the going rate for brand new sites.

And can you post it here so that everyone gets to find out what it is worth?

Age has absolutely nothing to do with it if it's making money, as he says it is. You can usually get 6x the monthly profit for an online website like this.

Thanks that's very generous, but I really just want an indication. But thanks again for the offer.

Hi thanks for you answer. The pagerank is currently 1 and the net sales until now are about $ 300. The hosting costs are about $ 9,95 montly (but I have more websites so that's not only for this website), domain name registration which is 9,95 annually and I've invested $ 37 for the design (one time).

That's about it. The thing is, this site has allot of potential. I wanted to know if I could sell it based on that. because selling it for 50 dollars is not worth it. If in the first month and one keyword I already make +/- $ 300.

Curious to see what others think.

      Cheers,
      Richard

I know age has nothing to do with it CGC if you are turning such a profit, I was simply asking to see if it was a one day wonder or if it is sustainable.

If the OP can show that he is getting consistant 6 months of profit at $300 EACH MONTH obviously his sell value would go up far more than if it made $300 the first couple of days and then nothing after since if he does sell a dead site that makes someone no money after paying a huge cost everyone will hear about it, and trust will go down the pan along with any thoughts of trying to sell future sites regardless of how well they do.

And yes Rbbiz, 6-8x monthly revenue is the usual benchmark for calculating sales value

    Either here...

Or Flippa (they generally take 2.5% from the seller)

    Here you go too:

    http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com...website-worth/

This may help you with ideas on how to squeeze value

A good idea for you to try is to sell for a good price for you and also for the buyer, don't undersell yourself though but what this will do is give people a chance to see that you are a quality seller and when you do more sites in the future, due to your reputation of making such quality sites with a good revenue stream you will naturally be able to command more money. And as your reputation and trust grows people will naturally start to bid on your sites far more.

sitepoint is a good place to sell websites and I agree you should get 6-10 months profit even on such a new site.
