Anyone here using XSitepro 2?

I downloaded the free trial of version 2, but I cant stand the templates. They all have stupid looking and detracting graphics at the top of the page. I just want a normal blank template, and I think they have them in version 1. Anyone know if that version is available?

I cant find these at all, they have "blank" templates, but they really arent blank, they still have some graphics at the top.

I've not used it for ages though because I discovered Wordpress and just find that much better and easier to use.

Yeah Ive been using wordpress for a couple of months now and I agree its a great tool....just wanted to try this one out and compare.

Version 2 is just like version 1, except a million times better and with loads more stuff lol.

You can start off with a blank template when you click 'add site' button.

I bought v1 when it first came out way back when, and upgraded several months ago now. I have to say, v2 is a massive improvement

  • Yes, the templates are quite strange or even confronting. I hardly ever use one. But for the rest I´m satisfied with it.

I have used xsite since '08 and version 2 is better, but xsite pro does not handle too many tables, I constantly battle with it putting in extra <br> everywhere.

But it is a easy to use tool for simple sites

XSitePro is a WYSIWYG program, so like all of these programs there can be little things added that you wouldn't think. I personally haven't had a problem with this however I've seen someone mention it in there forum.

How many tables are you adding?

I think the templates are a great starting point. My fav thing about Xsp is starting with a blank site, because you already have the framework!

The templates, once you understand how they work,
are not hard to customize at all. I usually start with a template
and sometimes eventually edit it almost out of existence as
my ideas for the site's look develop. You can start with
a blank too, and even build up your own templates from
parts of other templates. This isn't something you will grasp
in a day - but with a simple graphics editor like Paint.net and
Xsite Pro you can do a lot with fixed-width sites without
knowing much about code. It helps with SEO too, does
your site map and so forth.

It's the fastest way I know of making a quick landing page, but it takes some work to make it look really slick.

xSitePro 2 has been great for me. For guys who don't know almost anything about HTML and website building, like myself, it is a real life saver.

        How true,
I started out with Version 1 and later upgraded to version 2.
The funny thing is, for the longest time I resisted learning how to put up a blog with WordPress.

Now, I do nearly all my sites with WordPress.
This does not in any way mean the XSite Pro is not a good software.

I use Xsitepro for some offline businesses and they love the end results. The templates are a bit from the 1990's so I use a designer to provide me with a template which I add content to.

I pay $99 for the template and charge it out at $199 minimum so that is not a problem.
