Cheap VPS Servers?

Hi everyone. I am looking to secure a VPS server for a filesharing website I bought. The seller told me I shouldn't need more than 1gb of bandwidth per day. I have been looking around but I can't seem to find any for less than like $40 bucks/month.

Anyone with some experience using a VPS server give me a good place to start? I want to make sure the site performs to its maximum potential, but I can't afford $50 bucks a month. That's nearly half of the profit the website makes from adsense, so I'd like to make it as affordable as possible.

    check godaddy hosting? $26 .. but it looks like have a bandwidth hog... if you do not mind mixing with adult industry.. they normally have the cheapest hosting around.. not speaking from experience

    I've been with SLHost for a long time and my VPS experience was good. Depending on how you pay, you can find it a bit cheaper than you mentioned, though not much.

    slicehost.com - They came about a year or so ago and seem to be doing well. Acquired by rackspace recently.
    $20 for a full vps. Upgrades from there.

      I use Tektonic for my VPS. Basic includes 500 GB transfer for $15/month. Right now first month is even $7.50. Totally worth checking out.
