    Use the WordPress plugin:

    PageLink Manager

I have this as one of many plugins in a folder every time I create a new blog.. works a charm and allows you to select/deselect a page to be private at the click of a mouse

    Peace

You can do this without plugins as well.. There is a visibility option when you go to publish the post or page that has three options.

      1. Public
      2. Password protected
      3. Private

I have attached a screenshot so you can see.

Just realize though, that if you make a page "Private" no one can access it unless the are registered and logged in. So if you direct people there, they will not be able to see it or access it. (You can see it because you are logged in as admin).

If you mark it as "Password Protected", they can get to the link and page, but it will ask for a password to read it.

If you use a password, just send the password in the confirmation email you send out.

There are a few link manager plugins that simply remove the "thank you' pages from the navigational bar, or you can just go into the header.php file and exclude the page #s by hand.

You may also want to remove them from your sitemap plugin as well and add them to the "No follow / No Index" section.

Got to love how the WF keeps thowing up questions I would love the answer to as well! Been playing with the same question today.

I assume you mean to a search engine (as pages don't need to be shown and don't seem to appear in an RSS Feed). If so I came across this that I am trying out

No idea if it works yet or not, just uploaded it this afternoon and not had a chance for a proper experiment.

      Hi John

No I wanted a plugin that would hide a thank you page from the nav bar etc.

Looks as though the one Jay suggested was exactly what I was looking for

      Cheers

Ahhh, I tend to like to that through the coding anyway as it gives control rather than showing every page (and easy to do by replacing a line or so with a simple ul list). But if that plugin does that even better, one less job to do!

Spot on, just used it and it makes life far easier than playing with the coding!

For those who spend a few minutes hunting around after installing it (like I did) the functionality is in the 'tools' drop down on the left hand WP menu

      cheers again Jay

another great plugin for this is exclude pages plugin

So when you make a new page you can choose if you want it to appear in your navigation menu or not, i use it all the time, good because sometimes you want pges to lead to other pages but dont want them all in your nav bar,
