Promoting hubpages and squidoo?

Do you promote your hubpages or squdoo lenses with social bookmarking and other methods?
Or do you just write a page and hope their own traffic will be enough?

I always use social bookmarking for my lenses and hubs, and I always link to them through my bio boxes in articles. I find that if I just leave them to their own traffic, I get next to nothing.

if you want free traffic you have to work for it, write articles with your hubs and lens links in your bios, social bookmark your hubs and lens and also social bookmark your articles for maximum pagerank good luck!

yes i use social bookmarking too this drives traffic to the lens and it helps promote them.

One good strategy of driving traffic to your lenses is to comment on other lenses. Be interactive, rate other lenses and leave a short blurb on the guestbook. That way, you are leaving a trail for people to follow and check out your lens as well.

I use bookmarking demon to get links for my Squidoo lenses. Can't wait for the BMD update because it will add so many new features.
