Is there a way to google search the html code?

Does Google have this kind of search function to find out the content of the html code of the websites yet?

I may be on the wrong track, here, but if I want to view the html code of a site, I simply do the following:

type the URL of the site
    Click on "View" (toolbar)
    Then Source Code

And there you'll see the html code of any site you may choose.

A number of sites hide their code with software or programming but 99.9% of sites have their code in full view. However, what you do once you are on that page is another matter.

If your intentions are innocent, (look but don't touch) then no problem. If not, then beware!

      Thanks.

But I would like to do a search on google or other tool to find a list of websites which have certain marketing data in their html code.

    Hey Frank,

As soon as I saw your question, i fired up Google and
    searched
    "a href" "marketing </a>"
the two is what you will see in a link..

It produced some nice results so I guess you can
search whatever you want as long as you know how..

For example, to look for dofollow blogs all you have to do
    is
    inurl:blog "keyword" -nofollow
    All the best,

      Hey rapidscc!

      Thanks for your quick input.

But when I type in "a href" or "marketing </a>" (with quote), I see the search result with a list of websites with the web content has the actual term: a href or marketing </a> .

I guess I misunderstand your instruction.

      Can you rephrase your instruction?

      Really thanks!

    Ooops! I sliped...

I rechecked and indeed it still returned the actual pages.
The codes "embedded" in the pages were intended
    to be html examples.

    @James

    The instructions where wrong...Sorry...

James, here is an alternative to locating nofollow blogs..

    Search inurl:"blog" "keyword"

and just use a toolbar that tells which of the links are
    nofollow.

I think seo book provides one..There's also donofollow add on
    for firefox..

    All the best,
