Exit Pops and Rankings?

Does anyone know if using an exit pop-up will affect my sites rankings on Google? I have read here and there that Google doesn't like them but is that in reference to using a pop-up on a LP for PPC?

    I don't think it effects your ranking at all. However, this is another one of those things that you would have to test to know the true answer to.

      Thanks for the reply Benjamin. I was hoping someone had some experience with these things as I don't want to screw-up my page 1 rankings for that particular niche product.

    nope.. most of the exit pop triggered by javascript.. search engine is blind to those.. but your visitors may not like and that will hinder your ranking in the long run
