What kind of return do you see on your sales funnel?

Curious -- out of optins -- which I am assuming should be/have a 20-30% opt-in ratio, what kind of ratio do you normally see into actual conversions?

I.e., 100 people see your 'squeeze' page, 30 sign up.
Out of those "30", how many actually make a purchase?

What would be considered a 'good' metric, a 'poor' metric, and an 'exceptional' metric?

Hmm... wow, very interesting, I might be focusing on the wrong thing

Well, so far, I had an e-mail "blast" (very tiny list) of 100 people, 2% conversion rate (at the moment). It's a bit of an experiment for me (so I suppose in that way its 'ok'), but much lower than I was hoping for.
