Tribute site...

INTERNET MARKETING

As some of you may know, my sister died very suddenly at the beginning of November, she was only 50 and has left a huge hole in our lives. (We were very close).

I'd like to start a tribute site for her where people can upload messages photo's etc (She was very popular)

Not sure what to use to actually build the site. I thought of WP, but then folks couldn't upload photo's or videos could they.

Does anyone have any suggestions

What a lovely idea.

I can't offer a suggestion on the CMS softare you could use. But if you need hosting, I'd be happy to host the site on my dedicated server for free.

Good luck with this - it's a lovely idea.

I was thinking maybe something like Drupal or a Flickr clone. I'm sure others will have ideas.

Hi Kim,

I think Joomla is capable of handling/uploading images.

Fired up Google and here's the what I got:

  Kim - TDO miniforms allows people to upload photos. I'm in the process of setting up a site that uses it.

Use Joomla for this...

It can be "tweaked" to do anything you want. A good techy can do it with ease. I'd love to offer my in-house guy for this for free, but he has literally been working 16 hour days for us over the Xmas period and only now is taking holidays...
