Google Chrome and Proxy Servers

Warriors,

Later on today I'm going to buy some private proxy servers. However, looking at Chrome's settings, it appears you can only enter one proxy server in there.

If I had say, 5-10 proxies, is it possible to have Chrome rotate through them randomly or periodically?

Thanks.

I am not aware of any proxy rotator function for Chrome, unfortunately, and there are no add-ons that can help you do that, as far as I know. You can get an add-on for Firefox that does this, and what comes to mind is FoxyProxy. There may be others too, but FoxyProxy is the most popular one.

I am new to proxy servers, so sorry for the dumb question:

What are proxy servers used for?

Proxy servers can be used for a number of reason. The most popular is to hide your real IP Address from the sites you are visiting.

be careful though. even with private proxies don't mess with your main email / adsense / adwords and stuff! google is pretty picky with this stuff!

i even applied for a cpa network once and they rejected me cause i forgot that i was behind a proxy...
