Clickbank Conversion Rate

Hi Guys,

Would you like to share your CB conversion rate?

I am new to affiliate marketing. I started driving traffic to my affiliate link using article marketing.

I so far had 23 clicks to my page. When do you think I should expect my first sale? After 100 clicks? (The average conversion rate)

I appreciate your reply. Thanks

Personally I think Clickbank is hyped up and you can better look for an affiliate network that does convert visitors into sales

        Hi Priya,

you might like to regiter with neverblue.com and maxbounty.com it's pretty tough to get into them but they're pretty neat to be with and have some really great products. You'll get telphone interviewed and they want to look at your website. Not for newbies. Click bank is okay if you're really selective.

      Nope, its not that easy.

I can give you some general stats which are FREQUENTLY observed using typical vendor pages and Adwords, PPC: The conversion rate is about 1:85 on PPC.

I have that number seen mentioned on some big vendor's sites and it does actually go hand-in-hand what i observed when i still focused on Adwords + Clickbank. OFCOURSE - the 1:85 is an average, it could go down to 1:50 or up to 1:100. There is many, many factors deciding a conversion rate.

As opposed to PPC you will have a total different conversion rate, say, with SEO or Article Marketing.

If you do Article marketing (which is my focus right now) and you *know* how to target "people in need" with the right keywords/articles....you will get a WAY better conversion rate.

But..as said, this topic is difficult since so many factors play a role, for example keywords.

Side-Note: Your comment is not right since it implies that clickbank "fails" which is NOT always the case. It fails in some aspects (PPC is very hard with clickbank) - but can work VERY well with other methods of marketing. There are thousands of products on there and its really foolish to make a general statement like "CB fails"...like you already tried all 1000s of products on there? Everyone making thousands each month with CB is proving you wrong.

That really depends on a number of different factors. Factors like the niche your in, the merchant sales page, your targeted market. Some niches will convert with only 50 clicks, while others mite convert after 1000. Each click is a different person, so there is really no way of knowing. I do believe that thinking if you get 100 clicks and thinking that will guarantee you a sale, is wishful thinking.

I'd hoped some clickbank believers would prove me wrong

To be honest there are important factors that can make any program work for you.

Do you promote the affiliate links directly or did you set up a (niche specific) website that has original content and links to the product?

    Which products did you chose?

Personally I'm a fan of pay.com but it can be any network or product you're promoting.

Conversion depends on which product you are promoting and the way you are promoting it (i'd really advice to start your own original website that links to the affiliate product).

And traffic is key. Promote, promote, promote...

Clickbank affiliate here. Based on the last month my conversion rate is 3.26%. It takes me about 250-350 hops to get 1 order.

Hey, your math seems to be wrong:
1 order out of 250 hops is 0.4 percent!
Itmight be different when you take the orderform impressions as teh basis for your calcualtion.
A CR of 3.26% would result in 8 orders out of 250 hops.
