Whats The Best Tool Way To Pick User & Domain Names

I'm looking for a software program or a online site that finds
domain names for vary competitive niches.

I'm building a blogger blog in one of the most competitive
niches there is games.

I tried some of the domain search software programs but
a lot of them would not let me save the domain list.

    Heres a tip.

    1. Type your primary word in the GKT
    2. Sort results by global descending
    3. Set to exact match
    4. Export to text file
    5. Go to www.godaddy.com and click on BULK REGISTER
    6. Dump the results into the text area, then click on .com
    7. Click on SEARCH

Enjoy Instant keyword rich domain names, (hundreds of them) all with expected monthly search criteria.

    All without spending a cent.

Johnny, I use godaddy for all my domain purchases but one thing that I have noticed that if you us them and find a domain is available and you dont purchase right away and come back a couple of days later that it is no longer available unless you want to bid on it. I asked my son about this and he advised me against using them to do a search since their are people that somehow grab the searched for domains and squat on em.
I dont know what truth there is to this but if I search and its available I will purchase right away.

IF it's for web 2.0 sites like you said - google, blogger, and a bunch of others, try knowem.com . . .

You just enter the keyword and it will tell you want's available and then you can just right click and open those up in new tabs and sign up for the accounts.

You'll probably want to use something like the free version of roboform to speed up the process.

Anyway for dominating the first couple of pages of serps for a given keyword, knowem.com plus some interlinking, backlinking and pinging does wonders.

Deckman, it is funny that you mention that. I have seen similar results from Godaddy. I am new to IM, but I have researched domains on there in the past, and after a few days I will go back and the .com I found is no longer available.

Does anybody know of a place to check to see if a domain is registered w/o using a registrar. Whois, perhaps?

Edit - Sorry, it looks like Drew Castle answered my question. Much obliged.

I guess that it is not just a theory. Here is a good thread regarding this :
