Default Is it difficult to move a WordPress blog to a new host?

I'm going to start a new blog soon. However, one of the things delaying it is that I haven't decided on a hosting company yet. (I'm not sure if I want to go with a small company I know of that has great service or a larger, cheaper hosting company like HostGator.)

If I choose one, but later decide to move it, how difficult is it to move a WordPress blog? Also, can anyone tell me (just very briefly) what steps have to be taken to move a WP blog to a new host?

Thanks,

Johnny

There are always a few gotchas along the way, but you can simply EXPORT your Wordpress blog and IMPORT into the new one. Check out the WP IMPORT EXPORT functionality for more advice and information.

It's really pretty easy. A while back I moved my WP blog to a new host and changed my domain name. I was prepared for a disaster, but it was completely flawless.

I don't think this is the exact guide I used, but the steps look pretty much the same (no affiliation): http://www.mytradedomain.com/changin...sting-company/

Good luck!

It's easy. Just ask your new host to move it for you.
No fuss, no muss.
