Anyone Know Anything About This AutoResponder?

Hey Everyone,

I know there has been a lot of discussion of Auto-Responders already around here. But I had someone recommend one I had never heard of before. It's supposed to have most of the regular features of the big names, and (ta da) It's Free!

It's called "Free Autobot" Free Autoresponders, No advertising from others on your follow up email autoresponder and I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with it? (I just previewed this post and Boy that link came out looking funny. I just copied & pasted from the website. Not an Affiliate Link, or anything.)

I'm leaning towards Aweber, but I am also looking to do some marketing to offline businesses (ala "Offline Gold" type senario), and thought this might be a cool way to maintain their lists while keeping everything seperate from my personal business.

So, anyone have any dealings with this program? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Adam

    Hi Adam,

I used Free Autobot in the past, and it worked fine for me. Lately I have been using Free Followup, but out of 96 people who have signed up to my list, only 25 have validated. I think it is a problem with whether the confirmation email is going out or not.

I am seriously considering moving to a paid autoresponder, only because I'm not sure that people who sign up on the free ones actually receive all the messages they are supposed to get.

Anyway, Free Autobot worked pretty good for me - guess I should have stuck with it instead of switching to Free Followup!

    Hope this helps

      Adam,

If it is available to you should be sure to customize the confirmation page.

I have seen the confirmation rates climb when the page is customized. This way you get to explain or reiterate exactly why they started to signup in the first place or offer a bonus for following thru.

FYI: See sig for a good deal on an autoresponder.

Hey, thanks Kelvin. I have a question I didn't see addressed on your WSO thread, but I thought it was better to ask it over there, as others may have the same question. I'll keep an eye on your WSO for answer.

And thank you, everybody who responded to my question, it was very helpful and gave me options that I hadn't been aware of.

        Thanks again,

        Adam

I've heard of it before. I've never really tried it but you got to remember you get what you pay so somtimes it is better to invest a little bit of money on a good autoresponder.

      Hi Adam,

The only good thing about it it's free

      Check out:

      byreply.com
      emailaces.com

      I use both.

And of course there's Aweber and Getresponse.

      Regards

      Johan
