How Reliable Are GetResponses Statistics...?

Guys I have had Getresponse for 18 months, and I am really digging deep into my marketing statistics...yeah I know, why did it take me so long to do things right.

Is there anyone out there that sees a ton of conflicting information on the statistics that Getresponse produces.

Hope someone has some advice.

I heard about this before, but in general about all autoresponders.
Apparently, many of the email marketing service providers track open-rates with the use of tiny images. People whose email clients are set to not open images by default may open your messages but not count as opens... (click rates are obviously more reliable as people end up at your site where you have your own tracking -should be- installed).

I also heard that some big autoresponder services count mails that end up in spam as delivered, but don't know specifically which ones they would be...

The discrepancy is likely to stay for a while with the available tracking technology. I think you should consider putting more effort into analyzing the traffic that ends up on your side and take the getresponce statistics as providing trends.
