Could someone fill me in on how a WSO works?

I just put together 2 very small PLR products that I am using as a test balloon for my future PLR development plans. I know What a WSO is but for something like individual PLR article packs and $5 products is it the right thing to do? Is there vastly more exposure?

I have looked through several and they are mostly well put together sales pages for products that we all want. I just bought one

I guess the main question is, please explain how a wso works, for me, the forum, and buyers.

Thanks

First of all, I think not being a War Room member you cannot post any.

It works exactly as you saw: you need a good sales page for your (special) offer.

Being new around here it might or it might not work for you. If you came to this forum with the sole purpose of posting a WSO, members will not like you. If they don't like you - they will not become buyers.

I came for the same reason most people are here, get help, give help (though at this time my knowledge is limited) and hopefully make more money in the long run.

I guess what you are getting at is don't do a WSO until you've been here a while.

He pretty much says it right, a little bluntly perhaps but that is the general idea.

Best thing to do is hang around the forums, get to know a few names, maybe get your name noticed and then offer bits of help and support to others...if you advice is good and consistent people will start listening to you, so that when you do come to post offers you will get much better feedback.

It costs $37 to become a war room member and some of the members here sponsor people to get access sometimes, usually around News Years and that is how I came to get my tag when someone sponsored me but I am not running out to post one any time soon, you have to be good at what you do first with consistent results so that you can show it is not simply junk.

Lots of people come to forums and spam offers, by at least having a war room member tag you have at least paid your dues...one way or the other.

Basically a WSO works by selling people a system here cheaper than they would get it anywhere else, you get money and coverage and a good start, and they get a good quality package that actually works.

That all makes sense. I would love to join and $37 is a good deal, is that one time, yearly, monthly? Right this second I am in a serious financial bind like so many. If I had $37 it would have to go to buy food.

Things will turn around though. I am working 2 "filler" jobs and with the help I have gotten here hope to get my IM going stronger. Thanks for the info. As soon as I can I'll be in.

        The $37 is a one-time fee.
Each WSO you post is $20 and it's also $20 to bump it up to the front after it hits the third page, if you choose to do so.

It's my opinion that since you're selling PLR, not techniques, then your newness is irrelevant. Making it easy for people to see a sample of your writing would be a good idea though.

And how much benefit you get from a WSO is up to you. For example, most of the folks giving away Free WSOs are doing it to build their list, as far as I can tell.

The $37 is one time. Great deal too!

If you want to run a PLR WSO, you will need some writing samples.

I suggest you do a free WSO with a 5 pack of articles that you give away so that people can see your writing style and maybe if you are lucky they will post some nice comments in your WSO that you can use in your WSO where you try to sell them stuff.

Check out the other PLR WSO's to see what seems to be working for others.

    Hope that helps!

    I've got a question - I often see free WSO's listed.

Do we still pay $20 if we aren't charging anything for the product?

Yes. You are paying to advertise in the special offers forum.

I thought that might be the case but I wasn't sure. It makes sense, since you are still able to benefit by building a list.

I believe so, I think its $20 to post in that forum, I could be wrong though.

Thanks much that seems like a good plan. $37 then $20 for a free wso seems like a small price to pay to build trust and a customer base. As for the $37 one time, that's a steal. I am curious what's different on the paid side of the forum? Thanks all for the answers

As well as the opportunity for starting WSOS, we also get 400 PM spaces, get to create WF blogs and social groups and the ability to start joint ventures...

Entry into the war room is not mandatory though, there is a huge amount to learn on this side of the fence that you can do first for a couple of months...I myself am doing article marketing for instance until I get my feet running, and there is a great thread that gives an how to for that...

AND, it is the only place where Allen Says (Internet Marketing God) writes about how he actually does what he does.
