Hi all,

I've recently come across a potential niche that seems to be quite promising. However, I'm wondering if I could capitalise on spelling mistakes that people may make when searching for this product.

For example, if this product was a "widget box" and one of the most popular brands was "Acme", the Google results (ie using the keyword tool) are : 74000 searches for [Acme widget box] vs 5400 for [Akme widget box]. Also, 6600 for [Acme widget boxes] vs 4400 for [Akme widget boxes]. In both cases, www.akmewidgetbox.com and www.akmewidgetboxes.com are available. Also, from my research using Market Samurai, it looks like there are 325 daily searches for "Akme widget box" with only 1510 competing websites. However, when I do a search for "Akme widget box", the results come up as if I had entered "Acme widget box" (ie as if the spelling error wasn't put in), although Amazon.com is #4 on the results.

My question is, is something like this worth pursuing? If I were to register the domain, akmewidgetbox.com, do you think the results would show my site? I know some Ebay pros try to capitalise on people misspelling products, but would this be advantageous for me?

Looking forward to hearing other people's advice.
