Internet Marketer Down ! Need Wise Advice ...

Hey mates,

i've been in the IM industry for 2 years now and i've never been more productive than the few months, i built niche websites with top level domains and paid hosting and i invested in content since i'm not a native and i can't write my own content and i worked hard and i created 3 sites to date, and i feel like i learned a lot from creating those sites alone ! i learned things that no ebook on earth can teach you,

but ... i took the risk and now i'm stuck, i lost all my money because i paid for content and domains and some bookmarking services and hosting and now i'm broke, and the websites are not making any money at all (made 1 sale to be honest) ! ! ! ofcourse they could not be flipped because they are not making any money and if i sold one of them i will be a scamer ...

so i need your advice, what do you think is the fastest way to make a budget again with no money so i can start a new project and use the experience i got from this fail to make a better website . need to make at least 1000$ to start a couple of decent new niche sites with an advanced money making funnel and better SEO and better content and most importantly a better mind set and understanding of this business after this triple fail !

Help !

P.S: for people who are having semilar problems let me tell you this, FAILING is just awesome guys ! i feel like i paid a hard price for what i learned from this experience and i really enjoy this failing experience because even if i'm failing i feel like i'm learning something that nobody can teach me exept my self ! i wont quit i'll keep puching and i'll stand up again and i hope you guys will do the same !

Sorry to hear about your problems..

I think one of the main obstacles when it comes to IM is information overload.
You need to pick one business model and stick with it. There is lots of great information here in the War Room.

    Why not choose a topic?

    CPA Marketing
    Product creation for different niches
    Article Marketing
    Website Flipping (very lucrative)
    Offline consulting

Now it will all depend on whether you are willing to take action. The more we fail in life the more we are stronger. Do not let failure affect your ability. I am sure you will come back stronger.

Good Advice Imran, but it sounds like his mistake was focusing to much on producing the campaign; and not on bringing in the visitors.

I'm going to assume (OP) you still have all that stuff you burned your money on-In that case, those campaigns should be ready to roll-they just need traffic.

So go this route, until you can raise the funds for paid traffic

    -Article Marketing
    -Video Marketing (A la youtube)
-Viral marketing (Think killer reports people will send around to each other)

I agree with Profit Smart - if you have those websites set up then continue to build on those using free methods of gaining backlinks and traffic. Do some article marketing - I know you said English isn't your native language, but you could take the articles you already have on your websites and rewrite them, that might be easier than writing completely new articles. Then take those rewritten articles and submit them to article directories.

Did you do keyword research on those sites? Are they keyword phrases that you can rank well with? This is important too and if you haven't then you might want to find some keyword phrases relating to your sites that have the potential to rank well, set up a new page on your site with that keyword phrase in your title and then do some marketing and backlinking to that page with that keyword phrase.

As for flipping your sites - they don't need to be making money to sell them, lots of people sell websites that are startup sites and not yet making money. The only issue with selling them is that there will be fees involved to list your site for sale.

    Hope that helps
    Sheryl

One of the biggest problems I see in IM with people just starting out, is that most of them try to start from the top instead of working their way up from the bottom.

Don't go out forking over money for a website or content in a niche that you don't even know will work out for you. Start w/ other people's products first. Be an affiliate. Use free methods to find a niche that works for you. Then if you can make money doing that, set some aside to build your own product.

It's a huge waste to put your money blindly out there on product development, when someone has already done that work for you. IM is like most other businesses. You'll learn a lot more if you start from the bottom.

I sure as hell made that mistake before >.<

It's all too easy to get wrapped up in the Easy-1-2-3-to-$1,000,000 mindset in this business... people know there's work involved and that no, you won't earn thousands instantaneously, but let's face it - that point is rarely, rarely driven home (hence why most are struggling). I'm gonna be honest with you, I haven't exactly been perfect with this either.

I've always been a master at building websites - I don't mean professionally (though I am constantly improving), but a master at continually adding content and resources. I also built several blogs in high school, and spent many hours of fun doing so... looking back, I think to myself, "DAMN if only I knew how to monetize it back then..."

Money is relative. To some people, $500 is loose change in the couch, while for others it's critical to paying rent. Making $1000/day sounds like a lot for some people, while others make that in a couple hours (or less).

Focus on the building aspect. Don't forget to take advantage of free resources... the paid stuff will be available later, after you've established yourself and are consistently making money.

I would look into the site where you did make a sale, try to figure out how you did that and scale up on it.

For example, if it was an article that brought in the sale, I'd rewrite the crap out of it and submit it to as many directories as possible.

In the meantime, you may need some quick cash?

        Offering services is the fastest.

Sales Pages & PLR products are fast too...

If you can get each site making a sale a day, you can pretty much finance other projects from there.

Also, get a reseller hosting account from Hostgator. Pay $25.00 per month for hosting all of your sites. You can also resell hosting. I have 55 websites on my account (my accounts). That is a good place to start to consolidate expenses.

Why not share your sites and maybe we can advise on how to monetize them?

That would be better than starting new projects, not knowing how to monetize, right?

However, if you have a site like "OklahomaClotheslineApprociation" .xxx then
maybe it's the niches you are picking that is the problem. lol

I'm new to this whole process to begin with. I learn from everyone I can. I spend a lot of my time researching. It's great of you that you keep such a possitive attitude about failing. Nobody is perfect and if we didn't make mistakes then we would never learn. I agree with avenuegirl though. Stick with whatever works for now and build up. Best of luck to you all

Since you're not a native you can't write
    your own content-

This post was pure content enough and I
    read it til the end...

    I wasn't bored...

Before you give up on your failed sites,
why don't you give it to some trusted
    people to critique...

... You don't wanna give up
on a project that you can salvage...

I know it's not good to dwell on something
that's Completely done either- but did you
    get a second opinion?

      Hi Hamza
First - don't be too down on your ability to write English - maybe a little editing might help - but I've seen many a website written in much worse English than yours.

Second - I always find it odd that people set up an online business and then rush to outsource everything.

You need to start at the bottom and work up. You need to understand how things work and be able to do most of them yourself, in order to know if your outsourcers are doing a good job.

Start by doing as much as you can - it's free and it's the best way to learn. As your business builds, or you find areas that you simply can't/won't tackle yourself, then comes the time to start outsourcing.

I'm pleased you haven't given up. Don't be in such a rush to delegate next time. The art of delegation is knowing who to delegate to, what to delegate and when to delegate.

Learn to do it yourself first and I'm sure you'll do better this time.

If you share your urls, I'm sure others will help you work out what went wrong.

The fastest way to make some money, IMO, is through website/domain flipping. Try your hand at these to build up some cash. Offer to build fellow warriors some niche sites. If you find it hard to get work, try lowering your prices a bit.

I have been full time marketer since 2007 with great success. My formula is simple and can be duplicated.

      1. Create a sales funnel with a landing page
      2. Build your list
      3. Have a high demand product that people are looking for (Internet Education)
      4. An automated system to close sales
      5. Need the proper mindset
      6. Keep educating and training yourself on whats new
      7. Get yourself a mentor or mastermind group

I have a really important question for you. Do you know anyone who is excellent in English who would love to partner with you?

You have the skills to create sites, submit to article directories, do the social bookmarking, find the niches, setup the blogs. If you feel weak in English, look around your community for a partner. There is someone who wishes they had your knowledge so they could leverage their writing skills.

Since you have no budget at the moment, I'd hunt down Travis Sago, and get hold of his BUM Marketing guide. It is good solid advice to start building a business with no money. You can even use his advice to increase traffic to your existing sites.

Once you're putting food on the table at both your home and your new partner's home, then expand in all the other directions.
