I have an unused domain that I would like to sell, but I'm unsure where to begin...

I have a very valuable domain name in the internet marketing niche, or so I believe it to be. I've had a couple of offers for it in the past, but I insisted on keeping it to develop my own site. But, I didn't follow through simply because I lost interest.

There's a lot of competition in the internet marketing niche, and I'm sure there's probably someone who would purchase it. My dilemma is that I don't know where to start. I've always been contacted privately, and first, about any domains I owned. And now that I'm the one looking for the buyer, I'm a bit stuck.

Anyone have any advice?

    Hi,

I advise that you don't sell your domains without a broker. Domain traffickers will steal your domain.

There are also appraisal scams going on and so its dangerous.

I made a post about what you want and you can check the thread here by going to http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...0-minutes.html

    Good Luck

Who are some good companies to use for domain brokering? I'm not trying to hold out for some extremely high price or even trying to monetize it, I just want to do a quick sale.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could sell my domain quickly, possibly in a couple of days?

      Hi,

If it is GREAT as you say and the price is right. (how much are you willing to take?) you could put it in your sig file here.

It's hard to say much until one knows the name and the price. Of course it wouldn't do you any harm to mention the domain here in a poll or something to see if Warrior opinion is as enthusiastic about it as you are.

I've sold single domain names here, domain name only for $100. It sounds like you are looking for a lot more than that.

My best to you on the sale. Let us know how you did. A lot of people here are interested in "flipping."

I'll try that, and no, I'm not looking for a really big amount of money.

I sold one of my domain names for $15,000 and another for $10,000 but I was approached in both cases, and they weren't generic keyword-type domains, they were both names the buyers wanted to use for a specific company or project.

Whatever you were offered in the past is sort of by definition what it's worth; A close friend of mine recently turned down a $50,000 offer for a domain name he's barely using, he thinks he can get more. Crazy stuff.

Like others said, since it's IM related, post the URL here, maybe somebody'd jump on it.
