Here is a not-so-weird way to make money online...

There are so many ideas on "weird ways" to make money off the
internet hammering our inbox these days.

Will those weird methods make you money? Maybe, yes.

Will these weird methods promise a long-term sustainable business?
Maybe, not.

To make a long lasting, sustainable income, what you need is a
proven business model - not another "weird, quick-fix" method which
promises the heavens.

Just stick to one or two proven business models that work for you
and use it day in, day out. That's the secret of building a real
business.

Still starting out, have the time to spare, but don't know which
business model to follow?

Here is one 5-figure-per-month affiliate marketing model that I
recommend:

• Find a hungry market that spends money on info products.

• Locate and join the best membership sites in the market.

• Learn and implement what you have learned, document your results
(traffic stats, revenue reports, etc)

• Put down your steps in simple bullet point style, showing people
the steps on how to achieve the same results that you have
achieved. Recommend the membership site where you learn the skill
from (as backend).

• Send your draft report to a ghostwriter to rewrite/expand your
content into a sellable condition report. Since you already have
your core content laid down, this saves the writer considerable
time on research so you'll eventually pay the writer less for the
job than having it written from scratch. It normally costs between
$5-$7 per page for this kind of ghostwriting. You'll get a 20-page
report for about $100.

• Sell your report for $7 or $9. Trust me, you'll sell a lot of
those at this price point.

• Use your small report as a frontend to sell the membership site
that you're an affiliate with. If your content is convincing, your
backend conversion should be around 30%.

• Rinse and repeat.

This business model proves to be a 5-figure-per-month income
generator.

Hopefully, this 300+ words of content add value to your life and
business.

    Excellent advice.

I have thought about maing a bunch of small
    pamphlets for 10-12 bucks.

That's interesting to hear about them being
    that valuable.

Great post, Steven. This is a very low-risk and low-cost proposition that can be easily expanded to a six figure a year business by scaling up. The only big investment here is time, especially if you decide to write the report all by yourself, and not rely on outsourcing. It's easier and faster to come out with these short 10-15 page reports versus writing a full-blown ebook, and it can be rinsed and repeated with far greater consistency and speed due to the short and concise nature of these reports.

    Let me get this straight.

You sell a short report about a membership site, and that short report is a presell for the sales page for that membership site? Then you also get recurring commissions on the membership that the reader buys?

Sounds like a double win to me.

But a question: why not make the short report *free* so you'll get more readers? Or is the concept that you're pre-qualifying the prospects, so you know they're willing to at least spend a couple bucks on that niche?

I agree with you. These days I feel that something free and enticing on the landing page is almost an essential. List building is so necessary and this is one of the best and easiest ways to do it.

There are too many free stuff floating around these days.

And people just don't value free content anymore....

A lot of free PDF just get deleted right after they're downloaded and
      scan through.

When people pay for a product, they'll value the content far more
      than something they get free.

When your readers read the paid content in your report, they'll
pay more attention to what you've got to tell.

People are waiting for solutions to get stuff done faster, easier
and more profitable. If your backend is offering something to
get things done in a better way, people will know it's to their
      benefit to get it.
