Article Writing and Article Report

Hi Everyone!

I am a newbie to article marketing and need some help! I have submitted a few articles to EZA and Articlebase which are doing ok but not sure where to go from here. I have read a number of posts and have a few questions. What is exactly is an Article Report and/or PLR? Can someone explain? Any suggesstions on what to do next? I would appreciate all the help I can get!! Thanks :confused:

    PLR stands for Private Label Rights. It is content that somebody else has written and you can buy the rights to. So for example, if I write an article, you can buy the rights to own that article. Then the article is yours to do whatever you want with. Just as long as it's within the rights.

    There are many good and bad things about using PLR content. Good are the follow:

    1. You dont' have to create content yourself
    2. Can be a very cheap and fast way to get content created
    3. The content can be used for many things & can be re-purpused. Which is ideal

    Some bad things of using PLR, are the follow:

    1. 99% of the time it is not unique content, so you can submit them as is to the article directories.
    2. You still have to re-write the content, so there is still work involved.
    3. Although cheap, You do get what you paid for. Content that has to be worked on.

    As for Article reports, I am assuming you are asking about Ezinearticles statics. These are to help you determined which of your articles are bringing you the most traffic. For example, the most important number to be paying attention too is the CTR or Click Thru Rate.

    In each of your articles, you are allowed to have a link point to a page on the internet. This can't be an affiliate link though. The CTR (Click Thru Rate) measures the amount of people that read that article, then click thru to your website.

    As what to do next, I would recommend just learning as much as you can about article marketing. It can be a very taught task, keep asking questions here on the forum. There are many free reports and videos online that you can read/watch. Just remember, article marketing is a way to drive traffic, don't let it totally consume everything thing you do. I have had that done to me.

      3 important things to do:

      1. Make sure you understand keyword research properly. If you don't - you will be wasting your time on your articles.

      2. Write more articles

      3. Build backlinks to articles that are making you some sales in order to push them up in the search engines and bring you more visitors.

      thank you so much for the explanation! It was very clear and understandable. As for the report, I have read on a few threads about all the things you can do with one article to squeeze as much use out of it and they recommended mp3 podcast, blog post, video, a report and a review for a product. I understood all the recommendations but the "report" one. How do you make a report out of ONE article? Gosh, I am really feeling dumb right now! Perhaps I am just taking in too much at one time but...want to make sure I am reading the different posts correctly!

    Just keep writing more unique articles and submit to article directories.. Thats enough to drive some traffic
