Is there Any Software Being Used for These Videos or Is it just Powerpoint?

Hello,
I watched Amish's Shah launch video (not currently available) and there were some cool effects as he was talking through his presentation. Can you do such effects in Powerpoint?

I have also watched a lot of Ryan Deiss's video presentation. And I like the look and feel of it. Especially the one below, where the screen goes white as soon as the video starts playing (though I wish I had control of the settings). Is there something more than Powerpoint being used here?

Was Amish's video the same as well? I have never used Camatasia, so I am not quite aware what you can and cannot do. And I guess any webdesigner can get rid of the border of the videos like the way Ryan has?

Actually from the speed of the transitions this appears to be a flash presentation. While it does have similarities to PowerPoint Presentations, it is not the same. I believe without a doubt this is a Flash tutorial.

Basically flash has a timeline that makes it extremely simple to modify how long a graphic displays and the ability to add audio, video, and other elements to the presentation making everything look seemless during the presentation.

    UPDATE:

Also a dead giveaway is the fact that the player being used is not the camtasia player. While they could have created a custom flash player, it is more likely that this is just a flash presentation... which all flash presentations are normally rendered as SWF files.

For Ryan Deiss' presentation, it's Powerpoint on
plain white background (or at least, I think it is).

    The video is .flv format.

If I recall correctly, Amish's video should be done
using the Mac's KeyNote and screen capture too.

OK, a quick question on Ryan's stuff..

How did he make the buy now button appear only in the middle of the presentation, rather than from the start?

ALways wanted to do that... but never learned how..

You can spend hours and hours learning Adobe Flash or
you could get something like Swish 3D that lets you create
    flash presentations a lot easily.

Personally I would just go the Powerpoint + Camtasia route.

You can pull it off with or without Powerpoint, with or without Keynote. Armed with your free Windows Movie Maker, you can simply write your texts over a series of slides. Thereafter, once the voiceover has been added into the timeline, you can manipulate the pacing of the display of each slide.

The "pop-up" effects throughout the video, where a mini-screen seems to pop out of the main screen, is a staple of most video editors. It's called the PIP effect, or the Picture-In-Picture effect, where the display of a picture within a picture can be manipulated, including its own transitions.

My guess, however, with regards to this particular video, is that it was created using Keynote and rendered as a Quicktime movie and later on converted to SWF.

So how can you do a Flash Presentation? Is there any software you can guide me to?
No one does straight Flash presentations from the ground up anymore. It's too time consuming, and for beginners, the learning curve can be very punishing.

Just create a video as you normally would, and feed it to your favorite video conversion utility. Most video converters these days will convert your videos into SWF and FLV anyway.
