The Return to IM

Hi guys,

I used to be an active member of the boards a couple years back and I stopped IM due to what i believed was a complete failure on my part.. some of my ideas were just bad to start with and others, just poor decision making. this drove me to inaction which didnt allow me to realise my goals..

well, this year I've decided not to give up and this time, I plane to stick to my goals and follow my predefined plan.

I need a little help (or kick in the right direction) making sure what Im doing is correct and should still be done?

So, I have my info product idea,

Im in the process of writing up an ebook for it (to sell)

i have a wordpress site already up which is taking small hits and comments without any work at all (upgraded just now to 2.9.1)

currently the blog is on the landing page, so I want to move it to a directory like .../blog/

and a sales copy to go on the landing page (maybe goes through to clickbank?)

add an email capture for an email course delivered via autoresponder (5 or so mails)

once complete, I should push blog posts via pingomatic and write articles etc

this is the way forward right?

    Great to hear you have come back... YOU must make the commitment to never quit and to make it happen

    The only way to fail is to quit !

    You will only let yourself down my friend so make sure you do it

    Anyways with that said you are back so I wish you every success. As for your plan that sounds a pretty good basic plan.

    Of course there is going to be more involved, you need to get more traffic, you need to get your product created and set up online.

    Then comes the harder part - Selling it !

    Your certainly right that you need optin procedures in place to build a list, these can be placed on the sales page itself or as an exit pop up on the sales page, also you should be building a list from your blog so include another form on there.

    My advice for you then as you are starting from scratch is to go after affiliates in your market place that already have what you need - Subscribers / lists to promote to.

    If this is your very first product you may find it hard getting people to trust you and promote for you, this is why you must have a great product.

    Contact people and send them a free review copy, invite them to promote, let them know whats in it for THEM!

    Forget going after the BIG known names, chances are as your first product and if people do not know you they will not be promoting for you. This means nothing!!

    Go after smaller affiliates, contact blog owners within your niche is a good way to start. There are SO many bloggers, most will be building lists and may welcome your product.

    Hope that helps, most importantly YOU must get the product out there, contact people and be consistant. At this stage expect to get more 'No' answers than 'Yes' answers from potential affiliates but stick at it and be consistant!!
