Disappearing articles in Ezinearticles.com?

I know that Ezine has made many changes to their article standards recently, and I'm not here to complain about that. I just wondered if any of you ever had pending articles just disappear *poof* into thin air, with no commumications from them?

A few days ago I submitted a new article, and when I checked this morning it was in the third step along in the process of being approved (Pending Quality Control Review). I just stopped in again and it's completely disappeared -- not approved, in problem status, or waiting for review.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I've e-mailed them, but I don't know if or when I will hear back from them. Thank you!

Hmm, strange! I haven't had this happen personally and I don't recall anyone else mentioning it either. I wonder if editors can accidentally delete articles, like if the "Approve" button is right next to a big red "Delete" button? Probably not, but I've almost done that in other programs...lol.

When you hear back from them, let us know what they say. Hopefully you'll get it sorted without having to submit the whole thing again!

Thanks for the reply. If I have to submit it again, I can -- I learned long ago to keep Word backups of articles and blog posts. I've hit the Delete button myself a time or two!

I'll let you know if I hear anything back. If I don't, I wonder if I should just re-submit it later in the week. Hmmm...

I would wait at least a few days before submitting again, otherwise they'll go to check out the problem, see the newly submitted one there and think you're crazy. LOL

Another thought just occurred to me; this article isn't by chance on a topic they don't allow? I still think they would decline it instead of deleting it from their system completely, but I don't know that for sure.

No, it should be a topic that's allowed. There are other very recent articles on the same topic, in the same category. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. It's not like I have a shortage of other things to work on, LOL!

Just guessing, but I bet it is going to take some time for things to normalize over there.

Less than a week ago, they realized that they needed to hand-check nearly 4 million articles, to meet their new standards.

Ok I know this thread is nearly 3 years old so I hope people will forgive me necroing it, but it sits at #1 in google search for "Ezinearticles article disappeared" which is what I searched for to get here.

Anyway here is a tip that might save a few people some headaches.

Make sure if you have multiple authors set up in Ezinearticles that you are looking for your submitted article under the correct author.

I was pulling my hair out wondering what happened to my article, searching google for ideas (how I ended up at this thread). After a while I remembered to switch author to the one I actually wrote the article under and what do you know, there it was sitting there still.

So yeah maybe if I reminded 1 or 2 people to check the other author profiles on their account then it was worth bumping a 3 year old thread.

Probably a bit late to help the OP but it might help any future people finding this thread via google

Nice to see someone bumping a 3-year-old thread by adding value to it!
