How to set up a website where other members can contribute or add a page?

Hey Warriors-
Hope everyones making a ton of money this year already. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to make a website where others can add pages to it.

I want to set up a website where the member can add there own page. Like an about me section and put there own videos. Like I own a website: www.website.com and I want members to be able to add on like www.website.com/jesseray or www.website.com/peter

Is there software out there? or should I hire someone and what rate should I pay?

    The site is not focused around Affiliate marketing but more of a social site to connect people through my church organization together with missionaries who need support.

      Have you looked at Wordpress.

      In the admin panel go to users
      ->add new
      in the pull down at the top of the page
      you can change the role of the user you
      have selected.

      Admin
      editor
      author
      contributor
      subscriber

    I would suggest using NING. They provide a great way to start your own social networking site for whatever niche you want. You can brand it with your own domain, design, and more..

      Look at the Wordpress Multi-User option. You can find them by searching for wordpress MU. Start one yourself. I haven't done one myself, but you might be able to restrict who can start a blog within your blog.

    Ning looks really nice. Im not so sure about wordpress. I find it a bit difficult to use. Im more used to the mac drag and drop type designing.
